How do I add delicious friends in Fallen London?

I am confounded. I was told to go to the main Storynexus site and access the friends settings from the mail button - however, although the button says I have one message, clicking on it takes me to the main Storynexus site, not to any mail page.
Is it broken? If not, how can I get to the 'add more friends' pages? Thank you, everyone.

You go to the Messages tab in Fallen London, then click Settings. You'll find a contact list there.
