EDIT: No longer an author. Apologies.

If your tastes run to the gothic (and the romantic), I'm the author of the celebrated 'Legend of the Whispering Mirror'.
Nearly got me sent to the Tomb Colonies but it sold rather well. Anyway yes, most happy to contribute to a literary evening in my own small way...

My name there is as here.

Following a unique encounter with a jewel-crowned gentleman I have received sudden inspiration for a collection of short stories about the hats of the Bazaar.

The opportunity to address the great and the good in their - ha - 'natural habitat' (as it were), would serve me in good stead as research for my work.

I would even waive my usual fee. I shall be bringing rats.

No devils, please - their eyes put me off.

I am likewise an Author, and would be happy to be witty and entertaining at your Salon. With the number of my fellows present here, perhaps we ought create an Author's Benevolent Society...

rahaeli, just another Fallen Londoner trying to get by. All social actions accepted (except photographers, please)! I am no longer an Author -- the mysteries of the Correspondence have proven too fascinating.

In order to get married, my character shifted back from correspondence to autorship.

I would be really glad to read some incomprehensible, creepy romantic poetry in your salons. I?ll bring a bag of rats as invitation for the wedding.

    Mes cheris

I would be delighted to perform readings and lead discussion sessions at Your salon. I recently published a very honest collection of my letters of love, hate, rejection and ah, unrefusable polite requests. If You happen to find those themes too mundane for Your taste, it would be my pleasure to read some novellas inspired by the air of my dreams. During those readings I strongly advise to serve Laudanum alongside with Your wine.

    Bien à vous

I am nearly always happy to attend salons, as I do so love meeting new acquaintances. While I became known for a popular patriotic adventure and a long epic cycle some years ago at court, my most recent work is a short story of blood, love and rhetoric published in the Magazine Formerly Known as the London Magazine, 'Eurydice Ascending.' I am told it is a little on the scandalous side, but what good art is not?

I am, of course, also quite interested in inviting fellow authors to read their work at my own salons. Most of my guest lean toward the Celestial school, but variety is the spice, as they say.

Lady Eris! I hope you do not mind my saying so, but I'm quite the fan of your work.

Really, I did not expect the twist. With yourself and Nathaniel here, I truly feel myself among great minds.

I've just returned from 'zee, and have begun work on my latest. I am available to speak about it or perhaps, previous works of the gothic, perhaps slightly scandalous, and spiritual.

Aha! Such a meeting of literary minds must be refreshed by fresh breezes, yes? And we have so little of them in the neath. I have just published my first major work, of many you may be assured, and I shall be more than happy to delight you with tales of times not to be, my Lost Children.

I have recently published a gothic novel to rave reviews and a brief vacation to the tomb-colonies; and am planning my next great work while continuing to publish a series of short stories on romance, horror, and the occasional zee-adventure. I would be quite thrilled to speak at your next salon.

It would be a pleasure and an honour to attend such a fine establishment as this salon of yours. While a recluse, I would be happy to make an exception for mutual benefit.

If any salon host or hostess is desirous of a morally uplifting, virtuous, staid, reverent, decorous, and genteel authoress, do not invite me. All other requests will be duly considered.

If there are those who wish for an author of works from the visionary to the vivacious to attend their salon then I'd be thrilled to respond. I expect to remain in such a position for a time yet but my work with the Correspondence may change that, quite probably by driving me deliciously mad.
