A Salon is a very good MW engine. And you can grind the requirements to build your scheme easily using the Affair of the Box item rewards and the Shuttered Palace connection boosters.

Other than RP reasons, the Orphanage only really has one strong thing going for it, the Fatelocked companion you can buy there.

Salon (or Orphanage, really) is probably the best way to reach higher Notability levels.

The downside of a salon is you pretty much specifically need to grind the connections it uses, whereas money you can get from whatever you want.

No, I don't pull the Eater of Names.

Nobody has mentioned the adrift on a sea of misery quality yet...do we know anything about that? I would one day like to advance it past surrounded by wretchedness.

Does anyone know if, when you close your Orphanage, you lose your Laconic Prodigy?

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.

No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

I can verify. I started with a Salon, switched to an Orphanarium, decided I was tired of nuking my Urchins connection and my purse, and switched back. The lovable little scamp is still with me today, except when she's committing improbably precocious crimes.

Quick question: How much work do you need to do on your Orphanage before you can get the Laconic Prodigy? And how hard/expensive is it to switch? I'm contemplating doing that aforementioned orphanage-to-salon switch, if it's not TOO much work. That Laconic Prodigy certainly sounds like something I'd like to add to my collection, but an easy source of Making Waves is ultimately more worthwhile...

i don't know what level you need to reach, but swapping schemes costs you all your levels of scheme: orphanage, so i'd spend as many as you can first.

I will accept all social actions that do not consume free evenings- and i will provide patronage to anyone who requests it, though it will be split between all requesters.
On psudeo-hiatus. Will be inactive and active and fluctuate without warning.
