What could be more fun than writing some amusing Starveling poems? Well, an awful lot, actually. But let's not get in to that.
In invite everyone to share some amusing rhymes regarding the Cat, or anything else that happens to be Starveling.
Some examples of my own, starting with one that has made infrequent appearances on my Book of Portraits page when echoing Cat-related content.
"The Starveling Cat!
The Starveling Cat!
Ten more actions
is why I posted that."
And a second example, inspired by the Handsome Lad with a Healthy Appetite:
"The Starveling Lad!
The Starveling Lad!
If you think he's human
then you must be mad!"

Allright, this thread came at an oppertune time, since I was aleady exploring nursery rhymes in my poetry. I got this idea to make an expanded starveling cat poem, and I made two attempts, this is my first one:
The Starveling zee, the starveling zee
took my lover away from me
The starveling boat, the starveling boat
All they found was his coat
The starveling dream, the starveling dream
he was washed away by a stream
This starveling life, this starveling life
It's hard to be a Zailors wife!
And here's my second attempy, my choice of rhymes leaves a lot to be desired....
The starveling cat had starved to death
but was not in the mood for eternal rest
Death took him aboard, for a chess game
to play with the cat noone could tame
The cat asked: Is this some kind of test?
The starveling cat had gone too far
to where even the mighty they can fall
the pieces lined up, like tying a noose
the starveling cat was about to loose
Next to the cat, Death seemed so tall
The starveling cat didn't want to die
with plently of mice left on to dine
blind in rage, he scratched the boat
jumped onto Death, scratched his coat
slightly annoyed, Death said "fine!
Don't like this river? just swim back
500 miles, then you'll be back on track
chasing mice trough the nearest town
though if I had my way, you'd drown
I do not apprechiate this attack!"
The starveling cat had starved to death
but was not in the mood for a game of chess
Drifting ashore all wet like a
