That's in parabola, the opening of which is apparently what he needs the Night Whispers for. (I don't know what ambition this is)

Vake hunting. So I don't NEED night whispers to get to Parabola, I need them to make the chorister's bomb. But once I make the chorister's bomb (and presumably use it), the cost of getting to Parabola drops significantly.

Send me anything you like. Be decent, though. Bad stuff is fine if you attach a warning.

I have made it to 200 watchful! Got my smock and am now an extraordinary intellect. Now I need to get the prestige of my lab up so I can get to those meetings with the Dean. I can see a lot of disambiguating eoliths in my future.

My ambition alt got the last of the Night Whispers he needed to make the bomb at the recent Fruits of the Zee festival. Mr. Wines was giving the things away to people who helped created messed-up, bad romances. It's a pity you missed out on that.

I did get one. I went for two good and one bad. If only I'd known...

BTW, I am looking for advice on spending fate again. My birthday is coming up and I will buy some for a present to myself. I'm considering extraordinary stories that I have missed out on. There's such a huge back catalogue I'm notsure what to choose!

Any suggestions for a scientifically inclined naturalist, explorer and Vake hunter?

There is a list here that goes up to the present (update at top):

If you've not done it, The Gift is considered one of the best. Access to Others praised for quality or subsequent advantage (card, for instance) are Written in the Glim, Cricket, Anyone, Por Una Cabeza, Flint (very expensive but twice the usual length and gives a new overzee destination), The 12:15 from Moloch Street, Hojotoho! For all the Saints, Cut with Moonlight (access to Mirrorcatch boxes), The Empress's Shadow.

I can't advise on very recent stories due to a backlog in playing...

Thank you! I have played the 4 most recent, as that's when I decided to sign up. All most interesting. The Carpenter's Granddaughter was my first, and the best for my character's roleplay, but all have been interesting. It seems like they all have a 62.5 reward, and usually some other effect. Glad to hear Written in the Glim is worth it, as it gives out a night whisper, but I was unsure whether that was a good enough reason for me.

I'm also considering Upward from the Bone Market. Seems in character. (Fate locked but not an extraordinary story)
