Social invitations of all kinds welcome, especially games of chess and deadly sparring!

Also happy to help with nightmares, send sips of Cider, and plant battle.

I think I need to re-calibrate my value estimations, after coming back from a hiatus. It used to be the case that the Affair of the Box grind was considered very good EPA at 1.6ish. Now it seems there are better options available. What is considered "good" these days? At what threshold would you consider an opportunity card "too good to discard" if you're just hanging around The Flit drawing cards?

In the new content, 2.5 EPA seems to be the baseline. Most of the cards in Ealing Gardens give that, once you finish your ambition and finish leveling up your lab you should be able to do better than that to. The skeleton content is still under active development so I can’t tell what the best EPA of that stuff will turn out to be.

In mainline London without paleontology or lab you can get a bit less than that, something like 2.1 EPA, via silken threads expeditions.

3+ EpA if we are talking about end-game.

The best grindable lab content is 4.9 DPA, but it requires a Red Science skill of 10, i.e, a very specific combination of equipment (Power ending of Heart's Desire ambition). 3.8 EPA grinds are quite available in the lab after ambition fulfillment.

My Watchful just raised itself from 200 to 201 while playing. Is there now a new cap for Watchful? And if so, what is it?

There is now content that lets you raise the stat caps. Watchful is tied to a Laboratory investigation for the Dean. Currently you can raise the cap to 203, then 206, then 212 by successive investigations. If you mouseover your stat, the current cap should display (e.g. mine says "212/212").

The Persuasive cap is tied to the Railway, the Dangerous cap is tied to the Bear. Shadowy is not yet available.

I might have asked this before, but.... Is there a way to get a Vial of Tears of the Bazaar that doesn't rely on the RNG giving out the "A Presumptuous Little Opportunity" card multiple times?

You can obtain APLO through a Favourable Circumstances (Write Letters storylet in Your Social Engagements) - that means you'll have to grind Notability, but you won't depend on RNG.

The best steady thing I can think of is A Sure Bet from Unfinished Business Watchmaker's Hill. If you have at least one level of Paleontologist from the Bone Market, you can spend 1 Survey of the Neath's Bones on the card The Geology of Winewound to earn 250 Jade and a pretty nice tail on success. It's very late game, but it's turned the card from a must-discard to a good money maker.

Do you know whether or not you lose The Very Teeth of St George! if you choose to Lead Evensong? I'm afraid to tempt fate after losing my Vial of Cantigaster Venom by accident during Laboratory Research.

Your Teeth are safe. I've led Evensong before and I'll do it again.

Hey, bad memory non-journaler here! What was that ES from like a year and a half ago where you
take a boat down to the heart of the Bazaar to tell it a story because it's having a big sad freakout?
That was a seasonal capstone, not an ES. Not entirely sure which one.
