Asking the Mercy to help with the illegal device in the lab was one of the funniest bits of texts I’ve read.

CONTENT UPDATE: There's a storylet that appears while you're waiting on the 24-hour timer. It lets you crush basic eggs.
Still no way to improve eggs while waiting, which limits which eggs can be crushed. Probably because a single quality tracks egg improvements.
EDIT: Eggs are now visible in your inventory! They have their own "Whitsun" category... I suspect that's why they weren't visible before. edited by PSGarak on 5/12/2020

You can now offer a 'Forty-Nine-Voiced-Varbler' (which you can get from a 7-voiced Varbler in the Dome of Scales) to the Apricot Club. In other words, you're offering them to eat a Parabolan Dream beast with a multitude of Fingerkings possessing it.
It... Causes a scene, to say the least (and gives you a permanent quality for it, along with a ton of MW, at a cost of... other things)! I HIGHLY recommend you try it yourself. edited by Zarhon on 5/12/2020 edited by Zarhon on 5/12/2020

What’s the quality?

The 'Apricot'* club actually seem quite awful when you think about it.
Had to do this anyway, can always get more weird birds.

And it's not that much making waves. Then again, I am trying to get back to 15 renown used to restore stats recently, and every bit helps. Menaces are quite minor.

Caused a Scene at the Apicius Club, apparently.
Do we know what will happen if we set up an egg for the 24h hatching process on 21st? Will the egg still hatch on the 22nd, or will it be lost once the event ends?
I for one would appreciate knowing beforehand, to be able to plan my hatching accordingly.

I might have to make a scene then! Once I finish grinding my artisan of the red science to its max.

Will the eggs disappear after the event is over? I want to know if I should make a stash of eggs for laboratory studies.

I’m actually really enjoying this event. The writing of all the little stories is amazing, and the descriptions of some the new creatures makes them endearing from the moment they hatch.

I’m surprised the option to serve the bird again is an option. You’d think they’d have learned from the first time you served it. Unless the text is different the second time?

I have to say, this event is pretty great. The main mechanic is just alright, but seeing the little interactions peppered everywhere really brings it to life and gives something for everyone.

It could be worse. It could be the Prune Club. That would be the worst.

They really are, as disappointed as I am with how much lots of stuff costs Fate and takes 24 hours to get results by I'm curious what you can do with your mirror minotaur in the future.

I suppose the coins will remain for the next year, so if you have a friend who doesn't expend them this year, you might be able to convince them to part with them next year in order to purchase the device for you, while you spend 3 this year and another 3 next year on clothes. Although I suppose the next year will introduce a new device and likely new egg(s) to spend money on.

Does anyone what the orphanage option with the warm hearted amber iguana? I can’t seem to get the airs to see it.
I got the airs for it, but now I’m worried it’ll take away my Amber friend. edited by Winthropx on 5/13/2020

I don't agree with the comments that too much stuff costs fate. The only truly fate-locked things are 4 companions and and a repeatable experiment in the lab. Non-paying players get 10-11 new companions, most of them with unique effects, and the ability to choose between one of four great gears (each BiS in their own right) or permanently hiring the Numismatrix. Compared to the Feast of the Exceptional Rose this isn't exactly whale-o-clock.

You’re given enough pennies to get one of the clothing items not for fate.
