I have to ask - are you a Seeker of the Name? If so, you will know what I'm referring to. If you're either not or just a dabbler, know that after the travails of Seeking, you will no longer think that you have too many!

Oh Confident Smiles! I used to have over 200 and never knew what to do with them! (then they [redacted] oh wait, this was just mentioned previous to this post. Nevermind)

Speaking of Seeking... I am slightly disturbed to see that participating in various festivities during the Feast has raised my Unaccountably Peckish quality from 1 to 3. Could the Rose actually be linked to a certain name...?

(I am not yet actually Seeking the Name myself; I am currently impatiently flipping opportunity cards to get the right dream to start on the mad endeavour. Hidden knowledge must be uncovered!)

Really? I've had my peckish quality go DOWN from the event. Was it from failing certain challenges? There are a number of food related challenges in the game where succeeding will lower wounds and your peckish quality, while failing will raise your peckish quality.

If you're seeking to be Seeking, as it were, have you considered Wednesday night standup at Mahogany Hall? Unaccountably Peckish 3 should be enough to get you on the route by the alternate method if your dreams fail to co-operate.

I have only just begun my search for the name, but I'm glad to hear that my immense collection of second chance items will be put to good use.

I've just been enjoying the chance to stockpile carnival tickets. Very nice, I've got enough to last me a whole year now.

Lies! I have 86 of the suckers [i.e. confident smiles] and I fear for what I shall do next time I find myself needintg to visit the Tomb Colonies. It'd be nice if there was a way to trade them in for something less troublesome.

It's not as failing Persuasive challenges where the only way to raise Suspicion. You can always try failing Pygmalion challenges at Mahogany Hall, for instance. If you really want to, it's not that hard to fail.

Why is there a cat covered in pink goo? Or is that question best left unanswered? *grin*

(New companions! How exciting! I wonder if I will callously have to give my cultured attaché the elbow.)

Companions was the old name of pets, I believe. Also, I don't wish to part with my Boneless Consort...

After showing the portraits of all those individuals, including the Quiet Deviless whom people have been begging to be their constant companion ever since the feature was announced, I suspect that they would be relasing constant companions during the season of romance. I am interested in the hints of tatoos and intrigue, perhaps more Clathermonts or a new aspect we can add to out characters.

My first Feast of the Exceptional Rose! Exciting. I wonder if there will be options unlocked with the current Constant Companions, apart from a generic committed option that is unspecific enough to work for all of them. It'd be nice to see a little characterization, and quite possibly adorable as well.

It's Failbetter's version of Valentine's day. You really have to experience it to have a clue, since the content changes every year, akin to Christmas.

True, but it's a Valentine's Day taken as seriously by the population of FL as Christmas. There's an element of Mardi Gras mixed in as well--activities involve encountering masked characters, for romance or otherwise.
