In a Failbetter's twitter post there are other exampes of new art. I can't figure the wrench, the maid, the old woman and the man with the bowl hat.

I bet bowl hat is "Chat with the local gossip" at your lodgings. His icon is literally called "bowler." Maybe the old woman is the Implacable Detective? I don't see a maid? So I'm not sure what you mean for that. I'm guessing the wrench might come up during anything where you have to fix something. Zee travel, expeditions... otherwise, no idea.

For the man with the bowl hat at first I thought the same thing, but as I checked there was the old art. Maybe is just a matter of time.
The Implacable Detective could be except for the fact her skin is darker in her old art (both in her businnes card and elections portrait)
The maid I mean the girl with curly hair and green dress betweeen the statue and the caged window.
For the wrench, we'll see, I suppose...

The new art is both more realistic and more somber. I do like most of it, so far. But there are some images I wish that FBG had prioritized instead. Here are a few examples that occur to me offhand:
  • The Ambitious Barrister Image. Shows up on the introduction to POSI cards.
  • The image of the maniac wielding a meat cleaver--I forget offhand what that Opportunity card is called.
  • The man on the Shepherd of Souls Opportunity card.

That's on the An Unusual Wager card.

(edit: And I feel like I remember seeing it on another one too...? But definitely that one.)

Dunno about cards, but it's the image for Maniac's Prayers in your inventory. In fact, it's the only un-updated art when you interact with that item. File name is honeymazed.png.

I think there was a new wave of Skies style art rolled out today. And it's weird, because a lot of sets of items still have the old style for a few. Hard earned lesson is the only realistic second chance. Cryptopalentalogical notes are realistic, but none of the other notes are. I hope FBG is planning to replace all of the art with this new style, because otherwise the change will just be too jarring. If they do that, I think I'd be able to get used to the change. And if you look at any of the new art from things like the most recent Exceptional Stores or this year's new Feast of the Exceptional Rose companions, you can see that if they need new art, they make it realistic. Which was already jarring for me and broke immersion.

Thank you! That's it. I don't recall that image being on any other card, though.

No new art for me. I play on Chrome and nothing has updated. Strange.

Open dev tools (F12), right click the reload button and select the last option; Empty cache and hard reload.
I still have the cached images on my phone just to enjoy them a little bit longer before they fade to Irrigo.

Thank you! Will do.

The art I do see,say when creating a masterpiece in the Empress' Court, is way too small to make out. Maybe the shilhouette art was better suited for these tiny icons?

I don't like change, but I really like the new art! So I'm adjusting smile (I haven't cleared my cache or anything so the change is more gradual for me, which helps.)

Also, the variety of art styles has always been something I love about Fallen London, and I think the art styles continue to mix well:

Does anyone know why Violet Amber (appears in Weapons section) is still using the old-style icon?

I'm certain FBG release only a small batch of icons to see the feedback those will get. This is more efficient with a wider array of icons, not a wider variation of the same.

seems like a new batch has been released recently, they're not as noticeable as the previous few but they're still around

Some day, the shushing finger is gonna be updated, as well as the toothed tophat. I'm not looking forward to those.

Not thrilled with the new "Henchman" icon/card art, or the new "Give a Gift" art. (It's not just the black on blacker touched with red art-the raised arm looks as though it's unnaturally too long).
