I believe that was originally one of the proposed titles for the game. (Just joking, everyone! )

The text for the reward for finishing my ambition has changed from the last time I got it. Is it going to tell a mini story on of its own?

Not "reliable" in the strict sense, but I have acquired half a dozen over the past two or three weeks doing the Shrine (20 supplies) expedition. Run of luck, of course. Two skulls as well. And lots of cheap rubbish.

Oh wow. I just looked at the wiki page for the Knifework part of the Nemesis ambition. That phase would be awful.
Would there be a plan to implement this phase in the Laboratory work at the University?

I have questions about a system that gives you a reward if you play all of the ES in a season. I first heard this mentioned in the Shades of Yesterday thread, that this is the last season using this system. However, I've never heard about this system before. How might it work? I became an Exceptional Thread right before Fine Dining was released. If I buy Por Una Cabeza with fate now, will I be able to get the reward?
And a question in this vein, since I believe I've run into this system for the Season of Skies' Considering a Mystery storylet. I've already played the Persona Engine, but when I purchased the 12:15 from Moloch Street and said storylet appeared again, when I went to the 'consider the evidence you already have' section, nothing new was there, even though I have the "Blueprint for a Seal of Red Science" quality.
So does the system just not work if you're not an Exceptional Friend playing the stories when they're first released?

A Season consists of three Exceptional Stories. For example, the Season of Skies contained the three stories "Century Exhibition," "Persona Engine," and "12:15 from Moloch." If you haven't finished "Century Exhibition," that might be the problem.
If you complete all three stories in a Season, then you will be able to complete the seasonal capstone story as well. This is true regardless of whether you started the story as an Exceptional Friend or paid Fate or a mixture of both.
Note that the Seasonal capstone stories are released sometime after the last story in the Season. Sometimes weeks, sometimes months. There was a multi-season backlog when FBG was crunching on Sunless Skies; they've made progress on that but we're still behind a bit. The Season of Skies is definitely done, though.
Mechanically, each story gives a unique item and the capstone story is unlocked by having all three. For "Fine Dining," the unique item is the Possibly Poisoned Cherries. This item is usually give at or near the end of the story (with the exception of "The Final Curtain" in the Season of Wrecks). If you've purchased "12:15 to Moloch" but haven't played it yet, then you probably haven't received the item yet. In most cases the capstone story removes the unique items, but there have been a handful of exceptions.

Hi everyone, I was doing the Investigating the Big Rat storylet. One of my talkative rats managed to get through, but then the story seemed to reset back to the begining? Is this meant to happen, or am I missing something? I thought there was more story than this?

I remember that story as being very grindy. The pattern is a common one: you run through the process and built up a quality, then surrender that quality for a small amount of a second quality. Rinse and repeat. When the second quality has accumulated enough, there is a final chapter/decision. I played this over a long time to avoid the tedium of the grind, but I dodged the final decision.
