Now that Penstock's Wicket is open, it's possible to create Noman. For those who have ample supplies, it's possible to keep your Noman alive until the Feast of the Exceptional Rose which occurs in early/mid February. If your Noman is still around when Lilac shows up (around Valentine's Day), you have the opportunity to get a special Tattoo related to your Noman (Either this one, or this one even if you already have two tattoos).
This post is to gather information from anyone who has created a Noman. Whenever Time, the Healer comes around, your Noman will melt a bit, causing you to lose a certain amount of Noman's Friend. This amount changes over the weeks, increasing more and more. My goal is to track how much is lost each week so we can figure out the average for future Tattoo-seekers. When Time, the Healer comes it will tell you how much Noman's Friend you lost. If you could post the date and how much lost in the comments below it would be greatly appreciated.
Here's all of the data that I've collected over the last five years, for anyone who's interested. Check the different tabs up top for different info. If you have no idea what any of this is about, don't worry. It's a late-game goal that some players have to get this particular tattoo. That doesn't mean your data isn't important though! The more information, the better. Thanks in advance.

Today (24th January) Time the Healer came. It took away 59 x Noman's Friend.
I'm feeling confident this year the little sorrow-golem will be able to survive a little longer. Which is a recipe for calling in disaster.

Congrats to all who managed to get the tattoo, Gant or not! And thank you all for reporting your weekly loss, it's appreciated. Please continue to do so if you still have your frozen friend.
To put the numbers in perspective: For the last three years, you needed somewhere around 400 max NF to be 100% safe (assuming you start mid-January, right after TtH). For the same time period this year you only needed 250. Maximum. That's a huge difference in supply cost.
If you started a week later (~24th), and were very lucky and got the minimal melt for two weeks, you would have only needed 10 more NF than the 100 you start with. That's a little more than one use of a Pail. It's all quite strange.
I'm interested in seeing if they decide to raise the melt rate again, at all, this year. As far as I've seen it's still at 60-90.

Maybe they put in some extra noman-event that's later in the year, and slowed down the melting to make it reachable. I'm gonna keep watching and see whether anything comes up. If anyone sees something, post it!

I'm definitely not complaining. I overspend to keep the little guy alive, but I'm completely capable of imagining my character doing it, and in a sense that makes for a good story.
Anyway, TtH came today (14th February) and the loss in Noman's Friend was just 78.

Well, I don't know what to make of any of this, honestly. For the last four weeks the minimum amount has been 60, and that's with forty different pieces of data. The averages have been close to what's expected, given the MINs and MAXes. But now, dropping the minimum back to 50 just... doesn't work? We're looking at a range of 50-100 at the moment, but the average is way above where it should be if this were the case.
It almost seems like FB has lowered the melt rate minimum after the whole month of February being 60 or 65. Maybe they decided to just mess with everyone this year and next year they're skyrocket the numbers to keep people guessing. I have no clue.
Anyway, thank you hwoosh and Skinnyman for confirming this insanity.

6th March TtH too which hit for only 70 NF.
I remember of a Noman that survived until around the 23rd March. Using the current rates, it means that at least two Noman's will survive until the first TtH in April
From the initial 7 possible reasons that I concluded, new content for the Noman is the strongest of them all! FBG confirmed that a white friend will not survive for a full year and my take is a story triggered at a certain point.
I hope we'll find out in 2-4 weeks what was FBG's plan all along.

Here's my 20th of March report: 82 more NF lost.
I'm still keeping one of the initial thoughts: Noman content. Siegron was so curious if a Noman could survive a whole year so he emailed FBG. They stated that such a thing is impossible because it will cause some bugs.
From here, I concluded that an date trigger event will occur and will melt our beloved friend no matter what.
At this rate, mine will survive few more TtH, but an unused shelf of 27 Tears only gathers dust.

Well, we'll see. Based on current trends. The most likely date for my final Noman melt is May 29th. If I'm really lucky, it'll last one week longer than that. Hopefully whatever they're planning is done by the end of May.
I could try to grind up an extra Tears of the Bazaar (or two?) to see if I can extend the Noman one week more, but without a reason to believe that one week would make a difference I won't try...

I'm honestly surprised that the next, higher round of melt rates wasn't implemented today, being that it's a Friday. It's already late in their time zone so it doesn't seem likely today and I can't see it happening over the weekend since no one is there. Which means it'll go up again on Monday, February 3rd, which is the latest it's ever happened... I wonder if someone forgot? Anyway, here's a summary of the meltings so far:

I should be glad by the lenient TtH, but this still feels wrong... this isn't what I prepared for. I'm not the most extreme example here, but I still burned what was for me not an insignificant amount of cash to get the Night-Whispers needed for obtaining pails, and not to mention the few I already had because I've always wanted to do this challenge. I also sold my soul thrice in the season (once last season and twice this season) to get the materials, and huffed a few vials of tears when they could've gotten me a second vial of Master's Blood.

The moment when the community complains when a challenge is too hard, but also too easy!
Here are my thoughts on this:
1) Probably too many people tried, failed
2) While waiting for the ambition conclusions it may have been easy to forget about your white friend.
Thus, the rates were lowered to accommodate more people with the requirements.
3) New content?
4) Advertising a great story for more people. With it's 10th anniversary maybe more joined and a paragraph that requires months of preparations may seem too much for some
5) FBG is toying with us
6) While plotting to increase them next year
7) Implemented the sudden death of your Noman after a certain date. A Noman can't live 1 year no matter what. This sudden death is my theory on how they'll prevent players from doing this.
I know I haven't spent the most because I was too greedy with my Tears, but someone here probably wasted the equivalent of 100 buckets and 20 buckets. I stopped at the buckets.

The numbers for those interested!
This is my 3rd and by far the most expensive one I ever had! To the buckets I bought there were the free ones which aren't included.
First one was 8000 E (probably a little more, but not sure) and consumed 20 Buckets and 16 Tears.
The second's 59 Buckets and 8 Tear cost was 11350 E.
And this fellow to which I said goodbye enjoyed his prolonged life thanks to 101 Buckets and 29 Tears (24212.5 E)
I haven't unlocked the Court yet so the Whispers were a little hard to get. And this is why I have yet to buy a Cider!

I originally debated whether to even report this data point or not, but I'll give it and let you determine whether you want to use it: (-31 NF) 2020-01-07.
However, since I already ran the IroNoman last year, I've spent this year roasting Nomen for the Ruthless (currently on my fourth one) to bridge the gap from 10 to 12, so my NF was already chipped away and TTH melted it.
