  • Old Exceptional Story hubs, and the first slet of old Exceptional Stories are now located in an Exceptional Library, reached from your Lodgings. If you play any of each story, they will still be located all over London.

I see that old seasoned stories (which required a step to unlock it) aren't in that said library. Technically, they are just unlocked. smile

I am ashamed to count them, but I can give you the qualities for the last 12 seasons! Big Grin

Further notice: season conclusions are found in the library too!

And war against yourself still broken - no option for killing full Vake beside denying yourself.

  • The Rose Giveth Its Verses to Devils and also To You (and other items that happen to have level description text) should now display its name correctly in tooltips on the profile page.
  • "How should we message you?" settings update when saved.
  • Reports of harassment or abuse should now go to abuse@failbettergames.com.
  • In Jericho Locks:
    • The Fiddler’s Scarlet destination now offers a choice of prizes, and allows the player to spend an extra storylet in that location.
    • Speak to the Remorseless Archaeologist now yields a 1-2 of Survey of the Neath’s Bones along with the Rumour of the Upper River.

  • Bone market:
    • Reinforced the laws of phylogeny such that extremely antique skeletons should no longer overflow from one category of animal onto another.
    • In a compromise with the London Entomological Society, insect skeletons are now allowed up to four wings, but not required to have any.
  • Hurlers:
    • Three Discordant Law items are no longer equippable
      • This was a late addition that wasn’t vetted by design planning or QA; those qualities are now Circumstances rather than equippable items.
      • Players who had access to them before Wednesday will find a souvenir of this in their inventory, under ‘Legal’.
  • Railway:
    • The Implacable Detective on the GHR board now counts for the requirement on “accept a proposal from those board members expert in the history of the Neath.”
    • The Wry Functionary is no longer incorrectly counted as a month for purposes of a certain proposal.
  • Epistolary:
    • Discordant Missives no longer grant the sender 3x as much Corresponding as they ought to.
      • Most likely, these originally had a cost associated with writing them – at some point, that cost was removed, but the enhanced progress gain stayed.
    • Equipping a companion that grants negative A Steward of the Discordance will no longer allow players to use Discordant Missives to raise their Steward above 3.
  • Tech:
    • The “Log in with Google” button now correctly recognises when it failed to initialise because the Google Login API script failed to load.
    • The Possessions tab’s enhancement filter dropdown has received a minor Hurlers-related quality-of-life update.
    • API responses now include the no-store directive in their Cache-Control headers, a somewhat less gentle corrective (we hope) to refractory caching behaviour exhibited by Firefox 79 and its younger siblings.

But insects have exoskeletons. They don't have bones, nor do they have thighs, so they certainly don't have thighbones.

So if St Fiacre's thigh is attached to a weevil, well clearly that's just a divine miracle. A miracle which can be in your own living room for a very reasonable price.

I can absolutely see a developer making this change and writing it in his change notes, completely oblivious to the fact that insect skeletons has a prerequisite that had another prerequisite that was removed months ago without ever being released

Could you add some sort of tracker option for your current project to lab reflection? When I need parabolan research, I have to either look up the number elsewhere or waste honey to hop to lab and back, because I cannot remember it (and some projects are started there to begin with). Something like 0-action redirect to "Assess your current project", with requirements being an active project and appropriate number of parab research.

Can you just set it up as a Planned action? Then you can always look it up in the Plans tab.

  • University Laboratory:
    • A new experiment has been added for players who have high Monstrous Anatomy and have completed the fish, amphibian, and bird books.
  • Bone Market:
    • Palaeontological Fads is now a hidden quality.
      • Most uses of this quality are being retired, but it still randomizes some text in a few slets.
    • The three buyers that depended on Palaeontological Fads (Constable, Enthusiast in Skulls, Enterprising Boot Salesman) are no longer accessible.
      • This is not the last you have seen of them; but they will be reworked before they come back.
    • Buyers who appreciate Menacing skeletons now require that the skeleton have at least one point of Menace. This also applies to Amalgamy and Antiquity.
  • An Exceptional Library
    • Where the first “proper” card of an EF could previously be played anywhere in London, and it is practical to do so, these have been moved to An Exceptional Library, to avoid clutter for players who have previously played the “unlock” card.
  • Tech:
    • If you have only linked one authentication method (that is, one of Facebook, Google, Twitter, or email/password) to your Fallen London account, you’ll now be reminded of this every few weeks by a pop-up inviting you to link a second method in order to avoid losing access when certain large technology companies experience prolonged, unexplained service outages. (The pop-up contains an option to banish it forever, albeit on a per-device basis.)
    • The front-end will now warn you if you’re trying to give an outfit the same name as one of your other outfits. (It’s never been possible to have duplicate outfit names, but the app failed silently until now.)

Sara: A question. Why does the result of the new Monstrous Anatomy experiment show up in Osteology and not in Books?
