Improving Stats - am I doing it wrong? Messages in this topic - RSS

For context, my current stats:
  • Watchful = 67+19
  • Dangerous = 47+14
  • Persuasive = 44+15
  • Shadowy = 42+12
When I get to an action-decision page, I usually take the harder of the two actions (unless it's a new bit I haven't done yet), as it seems to grant more stat increase, but first I make sure my gear is set to maximize the stat related to the challenge.

I get the feeling, however, that I might be earning less stat progress by making them easier (closer to 100% success chance), because of all the warnings that I don't learn as much from easier challenges. Also there's that talking rat that reduces everything by 25. Am I retarding my progress by maximizing gear?

If anyone can explain how this works it would be grapely appreciated! smile

Don't worry about maximizing your stats quickly. Just play the stories. They will fill up faster than you think, especially since you decided to become an Exceptional friend.

What are the benefits of having/being a patron or protege?

A patron can send a protégé a teaching social action. If the protégé accepts, she or he gains a stat boost while the patron gains Making Waves.
