I am pretty sure it has been asked somewhere already, but my google skills failed me.
So: I am an Exceptional Friend and I went for a small hiatus. I was *pretty* sure I had unlocked the story for April, but apparently I hadn't. I would still like to get the special reward for completing the Season (mostly for the extra text, really), but is it possible at all having missed it? Should I play through Noises from Upstairs, unlock The Stag and the Shark, but not play it before Tauroktonos is up for purchase?

1. Playing The Stag and the Shark now will not cause you any problems if you play Tauroktonos later. You will still be able to complete the season when you've done all three.
2. Support has been known to help out Exceptional Friends in such predicaments. It's worth an email.

You can complete seasons? I did not know this, will it be obvious when the special reward comes up? I havent had anything happen since the end of The Stag and Shark, and I have certainly completed all 3 Stories already.

The reward storylet usually appears around the time the next ES shows up. Look for it in late May.

To be more clear, for now it looks more like as
First, Season N-1 come and go;
Then, Season N is almost finished (and sometimes it's even finished entirely);
And only after that, when Season N+1 is definitely close in sight... only then Season N-1 conclusion appears.

Another question as someone newish: as an Exceptional Friend, what exactly is causing me to gain 2 fate without seemingly a stated mention of getting it? I'm assuming it's a EF reward, I just got 2 more fate in what must have been the last couple days after my initial 2 last month.

No, but there are a select few options in the game that give out Fate. Perhaps you have done one and not noticed the Fate bump at the time.

Does it not tell you that you gained 2 fate in the storylet? The only event notable enough that I did during that time would have been getting myself exiled from court I guess.
