Weapon Damage question

Quick and dirty question: When a weapon, like The Uninvited, fires multiple projectiles is the listed damage done by each projectile or is it divided among the projectiles. I feel like it's the latter which makes the damage per heat ration pretty dang suspect for these weapons?

The Uninvited is fun but unreliable, since you have to be right next to your enemy to guarantee full damage since the projectiles have no set arc. If you use it, you should probably use a Grimalkin as a low Heat, high range support weapon.
