Actually, I have my own question. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make 1250 Brilliant Souls in 20 days?

I've gotten the Bazaar premises for three different characters, and for all of them I built up Bazaar Permits by doing Heists from Baseborn and Fowlingpiece, because I was usually secondarily grinding Making Waves. Heists probably aren't the most efficient source of Bazaar Permits or MW, but they're a decent source of both, which saves you time in the long run.

I think that's doable. Your best bet may be Thefts of a Particular Character, stealing Journals of Infamy 25 at a time, and then cross-converting the Journals across the Carousel to souls.
If losing echoes isn't an issue, and you've got an Alliance with the Big Rat, you can buy Casing for 3 Talkative Rattus Fabers.

Apologies if I'm being dense, but since I can directly steal Brilliant Souls in this way, why am I stealing Journals?

Tefts and then conversion is a standard way to quickly gain Tier-3 items. For most items you would choose to steal either Tales of Terror or Journals of Imfamy according to their position in the cycle. You typically would only steal Souls if you need Souls. 'Why steal souls and convert them to ToTs if you can directly steal them.' As there aren't many storylets that require souls, one might forget about the option.
If GregM didn't forget and mentioned this route intentionally, it would be because of the relatively good gain in Making Waves by converting.
I would recommend to convert all the Tier-3 items you already have and can miss to souls anyway, as this takes less actions that stealing all 1250. And then steal the souls directly. edited by Μαρσ on 1/5/2019

Yup, Thefts of particular characters are best grinds for lodgings. Here's a Wiki link to see the conversion carousel; it will be easier to track the amount of items you have/need. Good luck farming!

Why do some posts in this forum have green backgrounds?

And, yes, they are unreadable until you select the text. Isn't it possible for Failbetter to change the CSS on their side?
I've now made a brown-ish custom CSS (https://pastebin.com/i0rDnCWc), if anyone is interested. And a much cooler one in a muted rose-pink-grey (https://pastebin.com/ejD3VEzg). Don't use this one commercially, since it contains probably copyrighted artwork.
