Has anyone else been having resolution problems? It seems like the text on the website isn't as...clean as usual. Some images for illustration.

What I see:

What I expect to see:

Note how wonky the spacing for the text is in the first image (and the pure black background for the CP bar). Is this happening to anyone else?

It's been happening to me too, though I'm afraid I haven't the foggiest as to why it's happening to either of us.

We got a new update and I remember some people complained about too much scrolling and too much empty space on the new design.

Looks bit crowded for now, but I think I will get used to it.

It seems great to me. No empty space, and it has a classic feel. Not used to the black yet, but I am sure I won't notice it after a while.
You have been too much in the forums though when instead of thinking "redesign" your first thought is "Mr Eaten is after me!".

Can an admin confirm whether this is an intended redesign, or?

I dunno; I feel like this swing too hard in the opposite direction - assuming it was intentional. Plus, I can't seriously believe that the CP bar is supposed to look like that; the black just looks...unfinished.

Howdy.

I can no longer accept or send Calling Cars. Fallen London simply crashes.
My only clue is the message "You have reached the contact limit of 200" under the "Add a contact" box.

Is this a known problem?

How many contacts do you have? There are a limit indeed, yet I thought it was 100.

Did you tried typing a name of contact to input field while proposing any activity where recipient is required?

And I have a question too. How could I send an Eyeless Skull to other character? I definitely did it before. Wiki did not helped.

I've never done that, but doesn't the recipient have to request an eyeless skull from an eligible contact when they're in a position to need one, and don't have any?

They have to request from You, via the Cave of the Nadir storyline.

Yes, that's what wiki told me. I hoped this could be performed freely, not only in certain circumstances. Thanks!

Are extra piles of "snow" from Urchins Card already available?

I just drew the card. Yes, it's available.

Is it possible to increase PtPT: Lacre beyond 10? Saw someone with 22 on their Mantelpiece, how'd that happen?

You can feed "snow" to a wild boar through a very difficult Dangerous challenge if you have a Dread Surmise, which can bring it up to 16. The Twelve Days can probably push it even higher.

That's what I did my first Christmas, before I knew that it would all just be spent like a currency, and that reaching a really high level wasn't really worth it, considering how it isn't particularly cost effective. But I suppose it was fun at the time to read each new subtitle for the level of the quality.

So the ideal plan is to horde pails until the wicket opens, buy stuff, use pails to restock PTPT and go again? Got it.

One other thing: are any of the Mr. Sacks investigations worthwhile, mechanically or storywise?

If you need a rather high level to get upgraded lodgings it would probably be best to use your pails to get PtPT as high as you can through reliable methods (dipping a soul or using a Semiotic Monocle with Scholar of the Correspondence 10+), then wait for the advent calendar to give you its customary +1 PtPT, and then let The Twelve Days do its work to push the number just as high as you need it. Or one point higher if you're out of pails and need to buy more from the urchins (which requires already having PtPT 1+). Then you could use pails to build up PtPT again, and resume The Twelve Days to build it up further.

But if you don't need more than 5 PtPT in one go, you can indeed just hoard the pails and use them when you're running low. Particularly with the Semiotic Monocle and Scholar of the Correspondence 10+. Though perhaps there is one time during Christmas when you only get +1 PtPT if you don't already have any? I'm not sure. Remembering stuff like that is what the wiki is for.

I've went with Urchins' investigation last Christmas, it was deliciously rewarding both lorewise and Echo-wise.

Question: I plan to make myself a Noman and keep him safe until Feast. I've read some stuff and concocted an impression that I better make it late than early. Do I getting it right?

For Noman longevity it is better to make them later rather than earlier. Here's an excellent explanation:

"Depending on when in the week your time the healer triggers, you will want to create the noman in either the last or second to last week of January. The second to last week is the safer bet, as it gives you more time to use up your stockpiled noman supplies (which rely on you drawing the noman card). However, once created, Time the Healer will take between 24 and 70 nomans friend a week (average ~47) once a week. That’s an extra 8 to 23 levels of ptpt lacre (~1 to 3 pails) lost every week that your noman exists before the end of January."
