(I hope its ok to post this until they work it out)
Are you using the new advent link in the top post, not an old bookmark?

I'm also having trouble getting the first gift and this link redirects me strait to the standard loginupset

Not sure if it helps, but I find that even if I'm logged in it directs me to a login page - albeit not the default one.
Though I'm running Firefox, and Grouchybeast found that it worked for them on that browser, but not on Chrome or Opera.
(I assume you'll have read this on page1 but I'm reiterating, for people who are on the 2nd page of this thread. ^_^ )

Worked for me flawlessly on Chrome. Big Grin Maybe it's a Neathmas riddle?

Happy Neathmas to all of you!!!
Ah I love seeing the Advent Calendar return!

I do hope this Neathmas will be like the past years, peacefully with loads of amazing gifts!
Now the harder question, to save money for Fate during Neathmas or for Merch from the store...

pleasure to meet you.

Has some ideas the Masters won't approve of like some items and establishing a Colony in Parabola.

I will accept most social interactions (not duping). I do enjoy role playing as well.
Have some possibly still active codes!

Merch! The Fate stories are quite cheap.
And I must say this: I don't get started on Christmass cheer before December 15, but since I started playing FL the advent calendar fills me with Christmass cheer early. I call that a very unexpected and welcome bonus.

A Warning: Today's Advent code increases one's Acquaintance with the Captivating Princess.

This means that, unless something changes in the upcoming Feast of the Rose, this will lock out new players from meeting the Princess during the Feast, and therefore lock them out of the only Fate-free way to get a Dreadful Surmise.

Disclaimer: The above is based on how the Feast of the Rose played out for the past few years. This is not a guarantee that the mechanics will stay this year.

And if this stays the same next year, we will be able to reach level 2! Big Grin
Many thanks for the heads up!

That was my first thought as well :-)
But then I thought about a new player who'd get locked out of ever getting a Dreadful Surmise...

Eh, they'll probably change it. And according to the wiki at least, there's another way to get one.

....

You wouldn't have a spare Veils Velvet, Impossible Theorem and Vial of Master's Blood, would you?

Well, I knew the Princess likes entertaining guests, but visiting half of London at their homes is certainly a new level of "sociable".

Considering that this is the Captivating Princess, let's go ahead and ratchet this up to "creepy."

It sets the amount of cards you have to exactly 7. So if you haven't sent any yet, you won't get more than that.

The advent calendar hasn't been working on any of the desktop browsers I've tried, but I was able to successfully use the activation codes through the mobile browser on my phone, so if anyone's still having difficulty with that, that might function as a workaround.

I’m dreaming of a red Christmas
Just like the honey of my confined
Where the teardrops glisten and prisoners listen
To hear me pillaging in their minds

I’m dreaming of a red Christmas
Where subjects tremble in their dread
May my sister be happy and fed
And may all my Christmases be red

After today's advent calendar's ominous special guest, I have a feeling like this year's Fate story might focus on the Captivating Princess and her plans for the Elder Continent...

... which would be awesome!

Yes, that's the most likely reason for today's Advent gift.

That topic would also dovetail with the new Heist name that became visible recently.

I am going to predict every new piece of content in Fallen London will contain that Heist until I'm eventually correct. This is a tried and true method for becoming a successful psychic. Go Team Shroud!
