As a few people already commented, The recently implemented redesign does not have the 'Who else is here?' feature that the old Storynexus site had. The button for suggesting a random player for calling cards is gone too. To gauge the public opinion on the matter a bit better, here is an unofficial poll.
If you have suggestions for FBG to alter the feature for a possible re-implementation, come up with a nice alternative for it, or want to express your opinion and arguments on the matter in more length and detail: You are more than welcome to comment.

And to directly add a suggestion myself: An optional 'Who else is there?' would be nice: If you toggle it on, you can see it and you can be seen there. A bit like setting your profile as private or public.

I just logged into the forums, because I haven't played for quite some time but have returned to playing Fallen London (albeit far more casually than I used to - I burnt out pretty hard while grinding for Fabulous Diamonds), and this answers the question I was about to post.
Was there a post about this change occurring? (I would have missed it entirely, and I'm curious about the change. ^_^ )
In any case, it would be nice to have it return - even as an optional thing, possibly with an opt-in/opt-out setting for times when we don't want as many social actions being sent our way. I just had The Neath's Mysteries storylet show up, and I've no idea who to send the social action to - or even which of my old contacts still play.

My suggestion would be to flag up 'inactive' players somehow, so you can easily 'clear-all-stale' from your contact list and pending social actions. I'm not all that bothered by 'who is here' though.
