Simply put, what is the goal of either you or your character?
I have had a few on and off again goals, but the one I tend to return to the most is getting as many Mark of Credit Pages as I can. I have 42 right now. (How many do you think I will need to make a full Book Of Credit?).
I also have 22 unused Trade Secrets, mainly because I'm not really sure what I would need the money for. I don't play as much as I used to and 22 Trade Secrets ain't getting me that much closer to Cider or anything.

I have done it! I am grateful to the contributions of you, dear readers, in my now-completed quest to amass 777 packages.
Of course, it now strikes me as unwise to open them. Yesterday they were a delightful surprise to be savored. Today they are an ill omen indeed. But an opening is not to be postponed indefinitely...

Very ambitious. It's no 77 trade secrets (6 and a half years) but in regards to acheiveable rather than very tedious goals that is going to be very hard to top. I wish you the best of luck I can to a future 777 abomination.

Currently, I'm about halfway to a Rumormonger's Network, which will be my fourth top-tier scrap item, making it the last treasure I need for London's Marrow. And London's Marrow is all that is left for me to become a Paramount Presence.

Update: I finally got my Society Renown to where I wanted it to be. Constables is coming along nicely too, and Docks is trailing some levels below that. If all goes well, I should be able to get those three factions up by the end of the month.
The real challenge, now, is thinking of good titles for them… I went with "Archbishop" for the Church just because I like religious titles, but I might go a more silly route with this. Perhaps with my Renown Society, I can be "Fondly Remembered by the Grocer Down the Lane"? Or for Constables, "They Still Require You To Have A Loicense For That, Mate"

I haven't experienced all the FL content on my characters yet, so that's what they'll be doing... as for me, my big meta-game goal is to collect as many location banners (ie. the graphic at the top of the page that changes when you switch locations) as possible. From the very beginning I've loved the high-contrast shadowed style of the banner artwork, and have been saving every new one that I encounter to my hard-drive. And now that there are different banners for the old site and the new beta site, I'm trying to catch all the old banners before they disappear for good!
I probably won't get every single one of them, but one can try! edited by Vega on 9/3/2018

Before the favors/renown switch happened, I had ground my connected:bohemian up to 3000 which is probably a record. Would've gone higher but they capped renown, which cut that short quite effectively. I've still got Connected:The Duchess 864, as a side effect from that endeavor
Now I'm just grinding for the cider, but in a leisurely manner so I likely wont get there anytime soon

My current LOCATION is a coincidence. My scrapbook displays a quality from the Discernment Exceptional Story. There were several uncapped qualities in that story, so I spent some time increasing them beyond the point of usefulness to check for Easter Eggs. There weren't any, but the "Taking a View on Abstraction" quality persisted after the story was complete, so at least I have an odd trophy.

The only items I'm consciously trying to amass are Cryptic Clues and Dreadful Surmises. I also happen to have a bunch of Collated Research, which by fits right in to the library of my own.

Right now I'm just on the grind for my first overgoat and maxing out my stats. But after that I - as a revolutionary and supporter of Hell - plan on getting "Changed by the Iron Republic" to some absurd value. Have yet to decide if 77 is absurd or not and if I should simply not have fun with the game for months and go for 666 (or it's more popular and coveted cousin 777) instead. edited by lukeskylicker on 8/17/2018

If it wasn't a long scraps-grind I'd be happier. I mean, I've got:
- Vial of Masters Blood thanks to the sommelier - Location of a Once Time Prince of Hell via selling the location if the Nadir to the Great Game - An impossible theorem, via the truthbreaker turbine. - Working towards a Fluke Core via the cave of the nadir.
... but only one of those count, I need:
- Veils Velvet scrap - Rumourmongers Network - Breath of the Void.
And those are all 'save up 3200 scraps' which is a commensurate effort, but IMO 'just' a tedious grind. I actually felt like I was achieving something going for the Impossible Theorem.

Miscellaneous Goals I have:
* Making it to Notability 15 so that I can repair my Dangerous stat back to 215. * Hesperidian Cider! * Getting my Renown: Criminals to 50 (it's currently at 47); * Getting all of the Gifts for each faction (I still lack all the items for Docks and Bohemians). * Getting all of the highest tier items from the Relickers (I have none at present!) * Getting a vial of Masters' Blood while still having at least one vial of Airag and Bazaar's Tears on hand.

Become 'closest-to' the great game (or bohemians) and grind using counting-the-days. (You can run the whole cycle with these factions, and hen only need to wait to draw the final card). This will get you 4 favours for 44? actions. One of each of docks/urchins/great game/bohemians
Cycle airs of london (Unfinished business works for this, especially if you have a need for a lot of a particular item, such as greyfields 1882 for the portly sommelier, or souls for spirifying). On 'airs' 96-100, visit watchmakers hill -> The dept of menace eradication -> follow a chandleress home -> Confess your fears. 1 docks favour for 3 actions. (Airs will cycle again, and you've a 1/25 chance of being able to do this twice). Will cost 1cp of Dangerous to do this.
The wind toys with paper-scraps in the gutter. A governess passes with a child on a leash. No! No, only a young woman and a little dog. A beetle the size of a boot sits atop a tar-barrel, nonchalantly twiddling its antennae. A scowling boy distributes hand-bills. "MAHOGANY HALL: TONIGHT", they read. "HEPHAESTA." "M. PLEAT." All shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well.
Fate Story The Empress' Shadow, unlocks a grind (repeateable for free), that's got a 50% chance of a favour. (one of the choices will give you dock-favours). edited by Ed Rolison on 9/3/2018 edited by Ed Rolison on 9/3/2018

Depends on RNG's kindness, but you can even the odds! My advice is to head there with little AP as possible and 3 (or 5) cards get the full deck when arriving. Doing so, you'll have enough time to flip and discard cards until you get 6 Favours. Yes, 6 of them because you gain one when entering the colonies.
Good luck!

I still need to do the math to see how many CP I really need in my Salon for this.
Depends on your BDR. But Making Waves 55 (which is what you'd need for a BDR of 25 to get notability 15) is 1540CP. You'd be starting (probably) from MW 14 at best (e.g. having just got N14) and that's worth 100CP. So - about 1400, means you'll need to get a visitor (Crooked Cross) for 200MW a time, and will cost you 15 change points of Scheme. You'll need to do this 7 times and this costs 105CP. If you could use 'scheme' at zero, you'd need 13 levels of it. but you can't - you need at least 6 Scheme (20 CP).
You therefore need 16 Scheme to generate MW55 for the last level. And a friendly crooked-cross who's prepared to help you out 7 times.
But to get N14, you'd have needed (again, using BDR 25) MW 51 - which is 1300CP. (maybe -91 for starting at MW 13). So you'd need another crooked-cross visiting 6 times, costing 90 CP of 'scheme' - so that's basically 15 Scheme from zero, but as on top of the push to L15, you'll be needing 20 + 105 + 90 = scheme 20-and-a-bit. (let's call it 21).
For N13, you'll be looking for 47 making waves - 1128 (-78 for starting from MW13).
Again with the crooked cross - you'll be needing 6 visits again, and another 90 CP.
So then it's scheme 20 + 105 + 90 + 90 = or a little bit over 24 scheme.
This calculation pretty much works the same with Orphanages, although there you're looking for midnighters and correspondents. But your limiting factor might also be card-draw frequency. The tower of eyes might not actually show up 7+ times in a week.

Kylestien, you can use the Trade Secrets to create a Classic Short Story!
Well, in my signature there's my goal, to become a Paramount Presence and establish a Colony in Parabola.
-- Honeyaddict, Scarlet Saint, Paramount Presence pleasure to meet you.
Has some ideas the Masters won't approve of like some items and establishing a Colony in Parabola.
I will accept most social interactions (not duping). I do enjoy role playing as well. Have some possibly still active codes!

MINOR goal? That's way too difficult to call minor.

For reference, grinding Flute Street to Rubbery Men Renown 50 is quite tedious, but at least I have a shitload of Lamplighter's Beeswax and Storm Threnodies now.

Ultimately Zero will be a paramount presence, one way or another. The good Doctor on the other hand... things will end badly for him. He might be filled with tigerish enthusiasm for his quest but nine lives are not going to help, it's just more stuff to lose.

Maybe in the meantime I'll work on Advancing the Liberation of Night 100? It's capped at 50 if nothing changed in this direction. But you can always reset it to 0 and get back on it.

Creating a classic short story. Also, getting London's Blood/Nerves/Sinew/Marrow all to 3. And maybe seeing the surface? Wait, I can't do that...
