Is there an Official Start Date for the Fruits of the Zee Festival? I seem to recall it normally hits around Aug. 21ish, but I'm not sure what Gregorian trigger backs that. I'm contemplating an extended visit to my grimalkin contacts at the Court of the Wakeful Eye, and as I had to curtail my last visit with the sudden (from my unconsidered vantage) onset of the Mayoral Election (bless the Jovial Contrarian, but what is he doing with his weekends?!), I'm hoping to avoid another such abbreviated visit. August 20 is a reasonable prediction for this year. The festival has historically begun on Mondays.

The two main methods for lategame stat grinding are 1) using social actions to grind Second Chances and 2) grinding while tweaking your outfit to maintain a 90% success chance for optimal CP gain.

Hm, I would say expeditions are a good one for watchful, the assassins grind for shadowy and perusasive. Heists are good for shadowy also. Social Actions will stock you with second chances to burn.

I just payed into the Labyrinth of Tiger. Only one story!? HALP! Purchasing access with the 5,000 rats will only give you access to that one storylet. Admittedly, it's only particularly useful if in the early stages of Seeking, where it may save you a few weeks (depending on rare success chance and RNG). The season pass is for recreational visits. The Labyrinth of Tigers, like the Zoological Society of London before it, is not merely an entity for the conservation of animals but rather a place for study and research (with an added element of national security in the Labyrinth's case). Access to the behind-the-scenes work requires you to have first made your name as an asset to the Labyrinth. A few professional connections among hunters of savage beasts and the most dangerous game should do.

CRAP! I just spent all my saved 100 echos on nothing.... You could've saved 50 Echoes by gathering the rats from various sources instead of purchasing them from the Bazaar, but as far as I recall you need to pay the price if you want access to that area, so once you qualify for the storylets you won't have wasted all your money. But you should have learned by now that you're supposed to do the stuff the game tells you to do, not the stuff you might want to do. It wasn't always like that, but I guess it's like that now. Progress through the various Making Your Name stories in an orderly fashion and you should qualify for the later game storylets.

All the others, including the Labyrinth of Tigers, are unlocked by story progress.

Probably a dumb question: Can you edit your gender of your character? In the beginning I wasn't sure what gender I'd make my character but decided after a while, but I cannot find a way to change it. Any ideas? (I don't mean addressing title, I mean on the profile page.) You can't change it yourself afaik but you can email support and ask them to change it for you

The War of Assassins and Wilmot's End carousels to produce Dramatic Tension, using the War of Assassins to convert 2 DT to Collections of Curiosities, and then slowly using Tomb Colonist favours and the card to turn the collections into profit is probably the slow but profitable way to use all kinds of stats towards the endgame.
Instead, though, I'd ask what the rush is. Unless you really need stats to hit 200, you don't need to do anything deliberately. Just continuing to do whatever you want in London will raise stats naturally unless you're really hitting the Cave of the Nadir hard. Dangerous is the slowest by that route because of the relatively few late-game uses, but I've found that even Dangerous creeps up.

Ahoy-hoy, my good ladies and gentlemen. I seek your latest advice on how best to increase my skills from their penultimate to their maximum level (I have watchful, shadowy, and dangerous all in the low 180s; persuasive is already at 200). I realize it’s probably a bit of a grind, so I want to make best use of my time. I am able to do most anything in my quest (i.e., access to the Fate-locked content like vélocipède squad) for self-improvement. Many thanks for your good advice.

Did you unlock it in due course, or did you purchase one-time access? As with almost every other location (other than Mahogany Hall, I believe), just spending item for a one-time trip only gives you a very limited version of the area. If you actually unlocked it on your map (gained the relevant Route quality) then there should definitely be more than one story; if that's the case, which one are you seeing?
