Decide in advance what you would like to be instead and wait for that card, if you want to be orderly about it. Or dump your old profession (on the Write Letters tab) first and have a more exciting time. If I remember correctly, you can always go back to a training profession briefly, so as not to be destitute, if you get stuck. I believe the game adds a stickered storylet in that case.

Um, so I just drew two Feducci Mayor of London cards. Has the Contrarian changed his mind about being Mayor? Has Feducci refused to abandon the position? Or has the Contrarian’s term not started yet?
