When do the season finales launch, typically?
Two weeks after the third story at the earliest, three weeks after the start of the new exceptional season at the latest, if we go by the track record so far. Probably about a week before or after the next ES would by my guess.

Is there a way to wipe Renown and lodgings through SMEN?

Presumably by going through twice. And a third time too if you want to get rid of the Memories of Chains (as that same set of choices is the only thing in the game that gets rid of them). edited by Kaijyuu on 5/20/2018

"Bit" hard as you need to use many Rats of Glory to get rid of Beau's candle to be able to visit the damned carnival once more.
And getting rid of Chains means to abandon SMEN.
EDIT: As Dudebro mentioned it's possible to just abandon SMEN and start over just to get rid of connections and lodgings. edited by Skinnyman on 5/21/2018

Hm. If you abandon SMEN in the carnival (or otherwise - is there anything less destructive, that gets rid of the candles but not e.g. the scars and stains?), can you start again? Probably easier than trying to get rid of the candle on its own through rats.
