After just over one month, the heavyweight bracket of the Sanguine Ribbon Society's Third Tournament has concluded. Emerging victorious from a crowded field of 29 contenders is the new heavyweight champion: Colin Sapherson, Lord President of the Council! Aside from winning, he was also exceptionally patient when there was an issue with one of his rounds in the bracket, displaying sportsmanship that all SRS members should strive to emulate. His victory has seen him inducted in to the Sanguine Hall of Fame, and has earned him a prize of 240 First City Coins.
And congratulations to heavyweight runner-up Elsbeth Winter, who fought out of the loser bracket for a final showdown with Colin. Elsbeth also earns a spot in the Hall of Fame along with a 120 Coin prize. I encourage everyone to extend their congratulations to these two Exceptional duelists.
I'd also like to thank all of the heavyweight contestants and supporters for your enthusiasm and participation. I hope all of you enjoyed the tournament! In particular, I'd like to thank previous champion Karsus for the encouragement, Ryos for his generous donation to the SRS treasury (all of which goes towards event prizes), and of course SRS founder Mike Hawk for his invaluable assistance and support.
The Lightweight bracket is still ongoing, and I will post a separate announcement when it has concluded. There are also other Society events in the works, so stay tuned! Until then, as always please continue to make use of the Leaderboard to find opponents for Lethal Sparring Bouts and to record your wins and losses.🗡

Yes, I could tell much care went into the planning of this Tournament. Thank you; I enjoyed my experience as a competitor, brief though it was.

I appreciate that you list the equipment worn by the winners and that the champion was apparently dressed in a fancy parabolan suit.

How might I go about joining this league for the next season?

Wait until the post that will announce it. It will likely tell you. I expect it will be by putting your name on a google spreadsheet.

Hi Cooper, you can join the Sanguine Ribbon Society whenever you wish (as long as you have a Black Ribbon), and can use the Leaderboard to find partners interested in Lethal Sparring Bouts and to record your win and loss statistics. That's the main function of the SRS. Special events like the tournament will be announced well in advance, both on this forum and in the Fallen London subreddit; like the last ones, you'll be able to sign up via a special column in the Leaderboard. I hope to see you at the next event.

Congratulations to Colin! The victory could not have gone to a more deserving duelist.
Thank you James for all the work you put into making the Tournament a success. Keeping nearly 30 of us on track is no small feat.
