The third tournament of the Sanguine Ribbon Society will officially begin on the evening of Sunday, March 18th. The deadline for signups is midnight of that same day. I'll put together the brackets on Sunday, and will make another post here to announce the actual start. After that, the friendly murder-duels can begin.
Up until the deadline, new participants are welcome to sign up. Tell your friends/enemies/lovers/rivals! If you have already registered for the tournament, please remember to list your Fighting Outfit on the SRS document; without a declared fighting outfit, you will be automatically disqualified when I create the brackets.
Note that since the original announcement, there have been two rule changes, both of which are now on the Tournament Rules page:
- Replicas of Feducci's Lance are now legal for use in the tournament; feel free to adjust your Fighting Outfit up until the signup deadline.
- Participants facing each other in the bracket will now play two Lethal Sparring Bouts (either player can initiate the first one, but the OTHER player must initiate the second one). Both of the Bouts must be won by the same person in order for that person to advance (with the loser moving to their designated place in the Loser Bracket if it's their first loss of a tournament round, or they are knocked out of the tournament it it's their second loss of a round). If both players win one Lethal Sparring Bout, they then play two games of chess with the same rules as above, and if they tie 1-1 for those, then two Lethal Sparring Bouts again, etc.
Please read the rules page carefully before participating in the tournament, and PM me if you have any questions.
Also, thanks to generous donations, the prizes for champion and runner-up have been increased! Both League champions will receive 210 First City Coins, and runners-up will get 90 Coins.

That might encourage players to delay taking action in order to wait for rare mood-granting cards to show up. If a Fighting Outfit leaves the head slot empty, that slot must remain empty for all tournament-related actions, and when waiting for an opponent's response. I'll clarify this in the tournament rules page.
