Er, I just went to get a new Minister. I came back to London, but . . . now I have something like -200m opportunity cards? I know this happens with the Eaten storyline at a specific point, but I'm not *doing* that storyline.
Is this affecting anyone else, or do I need to submit a bug report to FBG?

You probably managed to trigger the same bug, try the pickpockets promenade and your cards should be refreshedz

You should probably report it. The bug is effectively flavor in SMEN, but it shouldn't happen in normal gameplay.

Thank you, both!
I have reported it, but I also tried the Promenade trick (which fixed the issue). I'll drop FBG another email to let them know the issue was fixed with the trick mentioned

I got kicked out of the courts, and the university (hey, this seems to be a theme..), but one of my major goals for my main character is to become a correspondent. Unfortunately, I foolishly didn't increase my "scholar of the correspondence" while there. I got to 7 thanks to a certain glim sculptor, but from what I'm seeing, other than a certain rare card, am I SOL on becoming a correspondent until I can get back into the court/university. Or did I (hopefully) miss something..? edited by Chrona on 2/28/2018

Well, there are a few other uncommom luck dependent ways (such as something perilous from bundle of oddities, or the fate locked neathymon). But the best choice is probably to get back into the university as fast as possible.

If you don't mind spending Fate it is possible, via the Corresponding Ocelot pet that you can gain by breeding things in the Labyrinth of Tigers. It has an option on its card that will slowly raise your SotC to ten (I'm fairly sure that's how I got mine that high).
But honestly, it doesn't take long to get back to the University. A couple of expeditions overseas and they were falling over themselves to let me back in. Only took me a few days once I knuckled down and got on with it, as I recall.

I honestly just want to do whichever is fastest to get to (minus my current grinding for the premises at the bazaar..). I can currently sail for my position for governor, or start the preliminary research for the club. Also note that while I have a ship (yacht, and I don't mind bragging), I have no idea how sailing works in this game.

I've hiked the Forgotten Quarter for half a week (in RL time) with no reason and did SotC to 7 from 4 or about this. And got a nice skull trophy! Probably not the fastest way, but that was somewhat entertaining. edited by curtistruffle on 2/28/2018

I seem to remember using that method too, but according to the Wiki it will only take you as far as 7, which is where Chrona is currently.

It sounds like you already have access to Port Carnelian, so governorship is probably the way to go. After five successful terms, you'll unlock an option at the end of the term that lets you back into Court. Then you can make some Correspondence symphonies using The Lead, and get to SotC 10 while simultaneously making progress towards Poet-Laureate.

Alright, thank you! Yeah, I can sail for Port Carnelian right now, but for the expeditions I would have to do the preliminary research...which I'm mildly dreading. Damn, I wish I hadn't gotten kicked out of both before doing this..I'll have my notability before the other requirement!
On the note notability, is the only way to progress from watcher to agent with the message of dread import, with 2 notability?

If you have any Taste of Lacre left from Christmas, you can huff Tears of the Bazaar.

Towards the end of the storyline, you'll again be asked to pick your Question, and this time without any Quirk requirements. You can easily switch there to Grieve. (and before that point, it doesn't matter which Question you chose, as long as you chose one)

I was aware you could switch but I wasn't aware it didn't have quirk requirements the second time around!

I spent a while grinding up to Invisible Eminence and achieved it this morning, but during that time.... I kind of forgot what I wanted it for. Is there anything fun/cool/exceptional you can do with Invisible Eminence other than feature in tales of misdeeds or adopt a protege?

Well you'll be able to spend your Notability on boosting your base stats (up to 215 with 15 notability). And you can continue on the specialization path someday to achieve Paramount Presence, though that's a very end-game grind.
So yeah, mostly for RP/bragging rights/etc.

Is anyone else unable to purchase Fate? I tried three different browsers and they all spew different errors at me. >_> I'm too lazy to email support, but... If it turns out this problem is unique to me, I guess I have no choice.

In the app, the quantity of mushroom wines is shown in blue, are they implying I'm an alcoholic for storing such large quantities of booze?
