Divorce should always be available year-round. Also I don't think the NPC spouses let you get notability, just the player marriages.

I can't find the second part of the Marriage of Fedducci, I also still have the sackmass card option available?

What do you mean by second part?

The Sacksmas option is still visible but Failbetter will presumably fix that soon.

That's a good question. The existing divorce option (which isn't a new thing) seems to be for player marriages. I have no idea how one gets rid of an NPC spouse.

For all the previously available NPC spouses, there's a storylet in ones lodgings to allow a divorce, e.g. Separate from the Celebrated Artist's Model (and similarly for other NPC spouses, include Fate-locked ones).

No idea if this exists (and if so, how it looks) for the new Missionary/Firebrand spouses.

Want a sip of Hesperidean Cider? Send me a request in-game. Here's an_ocelot's guide how.
(Most social actions are welcome. Please no requests to Loiter Suspiciously and no investigations of the Affluent Photographer)

I remember the Boneless Consort being in my lodgings, but my Cultured Attaché's divorce storylet is in the Bazaar Side-streets.

Thanks, guys. Not ever having had an NPC spouse, I hadn't encountered those options.

Why shouldn't one shake Professor Stark's hand?

I've been wondering this myself for years now. Does anyone have an answer?

Professor Stark is absolutely poisonous and a touch could kill you.

My next step in Heart's Desire is entering Old Downy. The game warns me I need Watchful and Shadowy at least 150. My Watchful is well in hand, but my modified Shadowy is only 134 (104 unmodified). How much of a problem is that? If it actually would make things as difficult as the game implies, could I complete the Old Downy content in the duration of a Mood? (I have no idea what type of content it is, and I don't want to check the wiki for fear of spoilers.)

You could probably do it as is, but I would suggest improving your stats first. I don't actually know how much content is in Old Downy, but it's probably not worth a Mood, since increasing stats is easily doable. Simply obtain better Shadowy equipment, spend time on other Shadowy stories, cash in Favours with factions that give Shadowy boosts...

Yes, but why? The result of an unfortunate scientific endeavour? Is she the Cantigaster in disguise?

A sidebar snippet:

Why not shake hands with Stark?

Professor Stark is the co-founder of Wombwell & Stark's Travelling Menagerie. There's a reason she wears gloves, though. It's best not to shake her hand.
(The gloves are for your safety, not hers.)

Wombwell & Stark's Travelling Menagerie is something you encounter during Flint.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.

No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

According to my messages, I have received a letter from another player... but... I don't see it.
Where does my mail go, exactly?

The text of the letter appears in the message that tells you that you've received a letter. Sounds like someone accidentally hit send before typing anything, or some sort of bug.

Gotcha. Thanks to my name, I think I appear at the top of a lot of contact lists, so I get a LOT of odd, accidental messages and social requests.

I just got back from almost two weeks of slow-boating (thanks to Seeking) and it's just a real mess.

Having grown frustrated from the decadence option, which made me dedicate two whole days just to get to hedonist 11 and a half, I remembered that quirks get increased by spending favors too. Expensive, but a lot more certain. The wiki does not contradict me - does anyone else have a different experience?

The 15+ Renown options do increase quirks up to 15, but each option decreases another quirk in turn, and the scaling stat requirement is a soft limit to how often you can use those options.
