Cites can drown in dreams.

So, looking at the Wicket, which seems to be available a day early, I have 19 lacre, and nothing to really spend it on, or at least nothing that interests me. Anyone got any ideas what to do with it, or should I try and get even more? I'm not even sure I CAN get more by normal means despite having 2 space buckets of the stuff. Also, just curious: what is the highest lacre anyone has ever got?

You can spend it in the Nadir on Tears of the Bazaar. Which are mostly useful for getting more ToL, but it's a thing you can do.

What if I don’t want to go to the nadir? Any other uses?

I will be honest, there is a part of me that wants to get Lacre as high as I can now. Any ideas?

Penstock's Wicket allows you to spend ToL on all kinds of valuable items. If nothing else you can get some echoes out of it.

The only way to keep raising ToL beyond 19 is to wait another year for more visits by Mr Sacks.

People have gotten ToL to at least 25, as the wiki has all the QLDs.

I got to 26 by accident this year, since I had it at 11 before Sacksmas due to using Tears of the Bazaar.

How? Just...How? I don't even know how to get it past 19.

It's a matter of just saving your ToL and waiting for each year's round of Mr Sacks to boost it up, little by little.

Does feeding it to a wild boar cap out somewhere? The wiki doesn't mention that.

The wiki does explicitly mention it, and you can also see it by checking the requirements to play this action on a pail: feeding it to a wild boar requires ToL to be 5-15. Therefore, it can only be used to raise ToL up to 16.

Money:
- Make a noman and strike it like one of those Oaxacan treasure-pots for an Elemental Secret.
- Gain Tears from the Nadir
- Spend it quite inefficiently for some common goods at the wicket.

Collectables:
- All the lodgings.
- A long-box.
- Use for a Noman tatoo, or save it for next year for one.
- Crustaceans (though this is from pails, not ToL, I still felt like mentioning)

Oh, right. I only checked the effects of the action, saw no cap, and didn't look any further.
