Removing Chess games from limbo

For the past 3 weeks now I have been stuck in the late stages of a game of chess, with my opponent being completely absent from the game. This has meant that I am now unable to respond to any other chess matches, and as such am unable to advance any of the related qualities. Is there a way to drop the game from my end or am I just stuck here now?
Ps: apologies if this is not the correct thread for this information.

There is a persistent bug that has plagued me, where I'll often not be able to continue multiple step social actions, with the other player not appearing as a valid target even though they are. Perhaps it is happening to you also.
