Hello!
I find myself grinding for the Spire Emporium, and I would like to know the following. The Vial requires 7 Notability (see here), but... what happens if I have more than 7 points? Will all my Notability get consumed, or only the required 7 points?
And for the Spire Emporium that requires 10, would that also be the case?

Both options should only cost the listed amount of Notability, not more.

What with it being Christmas and all, the Penstock's Wicket method is a lot cheaper in notability (just three points, and none of the other requirements). Unless of course you have other plans for your lacre...

Yes. More specifically: Once we hit Epiphany, Penstock's Wicket will open up and offer both new lodgings and cheaper routes to the five-card lodgings. Unless you're going to try the Noman Marathon, then don't use your Notability now! Wait a few weeks and you'll be able to get the Lodgings you want for less than half the Notability.
