Yeah, most of the lodgings are pretty bad. I started Seeking specifically so I could get rid of all those lodging cards cluttering my deck. These days I only have the Rooftop Shack, Townhouse, Royal Beth, and Bazaar lodgings. (A pity I couldn't get the K&C lodgings back afterwards...)

A Lair in the Marshes is now good, given that it gives a society flavor. A Smokey Flophouse *can* be good, if you didn't eliminate Jack, and aren't swimming in revolutionaries flavors already.

I didn't know the lair in the marshes provided society favors! Good to know. I'd also get the smoky flophouse, if I hadn't paid money to have content removed from my game.
Rooftop Shack is good for the non-scrap, non-MW option. Why, yes, I would like £3.00 of wine. The MW is decent too, at least with the huge pile of FiHP I have from being a Midnighter.
Decommissioned Steamer and Handsome Townhouse both give 2 scrap, which is okay. Scheme? What's a scheme?
The Brass Embassy and Royal Beth each give 3 scrap. The Embassy guest room also has an option to gain a Hell favor for 5 Romantic Notions. Curse those devils and their marginal gameplay advantages!
Premises at the Bazaar offer a whole FOUR scrap, plus £2.00 in cold hard cash. Four. Scrap.
Scrap, by the way, are easily worth up to £0.43, or more if you have inhuman patience. Here's the pence-per-scrap math.

So the Handsome Townhouse and Decommissioned Steamer are so-so, and the Brass Embassy and Royal Beth are passable. All the 1-scrap options are abysmal, except for the Lair in the Marshes because of the society favor. The Premises at the Bazaar, though? Ka-ching! All told it's an impressive £3.72, or £3.92 if you can bring yourself to save up for top-tier scrap items.
