The finishing school is only related to Christmas in that it was released last Christmas, and that a card is added to the school's deck, as with every other seasonal event.
TtH does not refill cards.

By "cards", I mean Christmas cards, sorry for the confusion.
I've also been reading up on what comes after Christmas, and I'm a bit confused. Is the only way to gain Taste of Lacre from Mr. Sacks? Because I can't find any other way, and yet people are talking about getting multiple 5-card lodgings - which doesn't seem possible to me, Sacks's Lacre maxing out at 14 even with full minmaxing, yet the two cheapest 5-card lodgings together cost 15. What am I missing?

Short answer and someone more versed feel free to add on to this, no there other ways to get taste of larce, a bunch of options should show up later in the month, and the reason some people are talking like is that taste is preserved year to year, so you can get them all after a few years

When you say "Mr. Sacks", what method is that? The one I remember is clearing snow from your path when you get snowed in. That happens a few times over Christmas, if I recall.

Some of the options during the 12 days of mr sacks gives taste of lacre. But only one gives buckets of so-called-snow, which is what clearing your lodging gives.

I have a question about Christmas cards. Does TtH *add* 7 cards, or does it simply *set* it to 7? I just got cards from Advent, and my TtH is only a few hours away. Do I need to rush if I want to use them all, or will I simply have more than 7 by morning?

Notably, you won't get any cards from Time the Healer until the 4th. This is to make it so everyone gets the same amount of cards.
So, you need not worry about spending them immediately.
