Hello!
I have a question that might be a bit silly, but I wasn't able to figure it out myself, so I think it's time to ask the more experienced.
Yoannete wants to sell their soul, already explored some options at the University that might get locked after, and is An Intimate of Devils 16. I keep on drawing the card "A serious offer" (from both Devil and Deviless), but despite selecting Risk letting her try to convince you/Hear him out, I keep on "failing" (not selling the soul).
I'm not aware of any way to improve the chances to sell it, though, and wiki says the card appears in Intimate range 14–17. Is it capped there, or can I lose the chance to sell it if it gets too high?
And as for the second part of my question; does it bring any real benefits to sell it in a different way (without Fate, though), or should I keep on trying this card?

The cards will only raise An Intimate of Devils up to 17, so it's not possible to lock yourself out of the cards. There are more profitable ways to sell your soul, though mostly with Fate, but you may as well do so through this storyline as that's the only way to get the cards out of your deck permanently.

Or, if you want the cards out, but you don't want to sell your soul, you could intentionally drop your Intimate of Devils to zero. Painstakingly.

Optimatum: Thank you! I should have realized from the wiki description, but it's still very reassuring. I just "failed" two more times and am very near 17, so it's good to know I'm not losing the option.
The Lord Breakfast: Thank you, I've read about that, but Yoannete does want to sell their soul in character. I find it a little frustrating that the card is lacking an option like "eagerly agree".

That doesn't quite work, though - if you ever have Renown: Hell 5, the first card will start showing up again and there's no way to get rid of it. (Other than Seeking and wiping all your connections.)

I thought the card for selling your soul was the City Vices: What Profit? one. I have alseo heard that it is most profitable if you are a POSI.

You can sell your souls through what profit?, the lecture on spiritual hygiene, the sacksmas special offer, or the intimate of devils. Might be forgetting some.

There's no way to hurry it along, but don't worry about "failing". You're not stringing them along and cajoling them into giving you gifts, you're negotiating a higher price! This is a healthy relationship, founded on mutual respect and honesty!

b____y tricksters, these devils are! I intended to lead them a pretty dance a couple of times, but second "How can you fail?"-level check surrended my soul to Affectionate B_____d for a ridiculous price (including a tempest of feelings Anchovies described so heartful).
Selling soul to these rascals seems a most unequal exchange.

Thank you for all the responses. (: It's been very informative! Since I finally managed to save up for Brass Embassy Guest Room, I'll try that way. (And wow, the serious offers failed me at least 15+ times.)
