The game Help section states the following,
Making your mark in Fallen London will allow you to become a Person of Some Importance, one whose name is known, one who can join clubs, take spouses and enter the most advanced Professions. To begin the process, increase one of your primary skills to 100…
I currently have the following stats (unbuffed):
Watchful 132
Shadowy 121
Dangerous 104
Persuasive 114
I have been awaiting an Invitation from the Ambitious Barrister for quite some time and there has been no sign so far.
I believe I have far surpassed the stat requirement and so what else is there that I must do?
Exactly how long should I be expected to wait?

If I remember correctly, first you get a card to meet her when she's out in her cab in London, then she shows up as a gold-bordered storylet in your Lodgings. You certainly should have met her by now - I think I met her within a few card draws of the first time my gear brought my modified stat above 100.

If you haven't drawn the card, the only solution is to continue drawing cards and hope the fickle RNG will have mercy.

No need to wait for the Barrister's card. You can start the path to a Person is Some Little Consequence by talking with your neighbors (via the Local Gossip at your lodgings).

Oh, you're right! I have an alt who has just 101 Dangerous with Feducci's Lance. All the local gossips show the option, but it's grayed out except when he talks to the Clay Coalman while wearing his Hard-Wearing outfit.

I have yet to see a Barrister's card and trust me, I have been patiently watching for it since my first stat reached 100. Failing that, I simply continued to work on raising all of the others to 100+.
I have previously pursued the Local Gossip threads too. But I'll bite again.

No, it's none of those. Are you sure she's not in your Lodgings? She'd be on a gold-bordered card. At first it says:
Who is she?

That doesn't sound right. If you are certain that you haven't seen the any of the cards [spoiler] i.e. you don't have access to the gold bordered card at your lodgings "Who is She?" or any of the early POSI options in the 4 starting areas or access to the Bazaar side-streets. [/spoiler]
I would send an email to support@failbettergames.com as it sounds like you have encountered a bug.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.

Yes, thank you. It doesn't seem right at all.
No, I have not seen any of those options before.
I have progressed reasonably far without POSI. The last endeavour was recently opening up the Labyrinth of Tigers. There are now no new areas of London that I do not have access to apart from the House of Chimes.
I have sent a ticket.
