Mr. Huffram has come round to give interviews! There's an interesting selection of options to pursue this year depending on which companions (or accoutrements) you chose to pursue!

Anyone got echos of all of them? I'm curious about some (like the murderous primate; do we get a tomb colonist huffman out of it?)

Thank you~
Though that seems to lack the lance. Here's an echo of that.

Can anyone add the title of the Gazette article they earned? Mines is about the lance:
The Unexpurgated Gazette: Hallowmas Edition of 1895 - The picture on the front page is of yourself, wielding the lance. The artist has taken some liberties – you could never hold it like that inside. Nevertheless, you look noble and ferocious, and nothing in the column alongside it detracts from that

Gathering all ten upgraded companions:
The Unexpurgated Gazette: Hallowmas Edition of 1895 - IS THIS HALLOWMAS? Mr Huffam's front page is bewildered, overwhelmed, almost incoherent. It is clear he had a profound experience. It is clear you were responsible for it. He does not reveal what happened, when left alone in that room[sic]

Are there new One's Public options for the lance, certificate, and any other new interviews? Anyone know if the certificate interview scales with the level of certificate?

Yes for the Lance.

A mention? Fame! [When your Persuasive is 69 or more, this will reveal a new option on the One's Public opportunity card.]

Tanith Wyrmwood: Longshanks cat-burglar; Bohemian author; now, perhaps, something more. Bubbly, expressive, and affectionate. It’s not only still waters that run deep. Telemachia Lee: Gentle lady by birth, brawling Docker by choice. Good company in the drunk tank.

I have a Lance. Why can't I get an interview? Ah, some remaining favour. Probably had one left for menace reductions.
OK, I'll use that up and...nope, not an option any more.
Probably not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Still have the lance. And as much as I never roleplay, and will happily take anything that looks like a profitable option, having the "be a dumb poser" choice disabled is probably fine.

On the same page, there's an option to turn in your remaining favour to Huffam. Don't know what it gives, and it's not in the wiki yet. But you'll get something for it, and will be eligible for the interview.

I heard that it does.
I cannot confirm, however, as the only character I have who is both ferocious enough to want the lance and egotistical enough to pose with it is also too new to have reached 69 Persuasive yet.

I'm an idiot. Thanks
Also 'only' 30 seconds for the page to load this time.
And lance is totally just for decorational purposes, of course. Waxwail knife is for cold-blooded murder. This is just backup in case it ever becomes possible to lose the knife again...

How long did Charles John Huffam Dickens stick around last year? I have all the new companions, and I imagine it still gives 2 Notability to take that option, so I’d like to rebuild my Notability as much as possible in order to maximize the effect.

The announcement was that he'll be around until the 13th.

The announcement was that he'll be around until the 13th. And once again, that means noon UK time on the 13th, which is even-coffee-doesn't-work-this-early o'clock in several US states.
Although possibly the time difference was extra-rough during Hallowmass because that's the one week of the year when the two countries are not in alignment with respect to daylight savings time?

Wait, noon‽ Fallen London date-based changes roll out at noon‽ That explains so much! I always interpreted a given day to mean 01:00:00 UTC on said day.

FBG seems to do many of these things manually rather than on a timer, so the changes roll out during the working day.

I think they have the capability for automatic rollouts now but they'd still want them to be during the work day so tech supports on hand if something goes wrong (that's also why changes almost always roll out Monday-Wednesday and rarely on Fridays - reduces the chance of a bug not getting discovered until everyone's left for the weekend)
