I must recommend this addon: http://community.failbettergames.com/topic21878-user-style-option-protector-pending-approval.aspx

I got it after wasting favors on stat boosts for like the 4th time.

It leaves me in an odd place. Caroline is intensely Hedonistic, it is her defining trait. She hates Devils, though, seeing them as, uh, lets say rivals of a sort, also she is a Shepherd. Hell is one of two factions not at 40 or higher and the only one at zero (other is Revolutionaries, not wanting to advance the liberation of night stopped her cold). It would be unfortunate to have to act out of character for herself to get that Hedonist. I might if I could lower it back to zero. Thanks for the answers.

If you are a Shepherd there can be a certain double-agent quality about you. You often impersonate Devils to retrieve souls, and where better to hide yourself than in plain sight among them? My character is an absolute hedonist. She lives at the Brass Embassy, and as far as the Devils are concerned she is practically one of them (Renown 50). She is also a Shepherd, secretly working against them. So there are ways to role-play your around apparent contradictions.

But unlike your character, she does actually like them and enjoy their company, she doesn't really have to try very hard to appear comfortable among them; and only became a Shepherd herself when she lost her own soul and discovered what it felt like. So maybe that wouldn't work for you.

It's not honestly a bad idea. I will think on it. Thank you.

Another infinitely repeatable option is:

You can temporarily lose access by being kicked out of the Court, but you'll regain it some time later.

That one is a lot of fun. I seem to remember that's how my character got into the 12+ Hedonism set, though she only did it the once. smile

While there are some very rare exceptions, as a rule all quirks are supposed to be capped at 15.

Day 27 in Iron Republic can help you go all the way up to 15. At 12 you can meditate on Pulsating Amber or turn over the resources of your University Fellowship to reach 15 as well.

Decembar is geting close. I want to grab some home comforts. What is diference betwin airs depended options 'An unexpected volunteer'(30 FATE). There is two options with airs (0-50) and (51-100). I;m interested in home comforts with BDR points. Which option to choose for those home comforts.

The only difference is the text (which Master it is you're helping). There are actually four options, since each of the Airs of London ranges has a regular and an alternative success.

But besides the text you get the same reward for all options - you get the Incarnadine Fur Robe, which lets you choose your Home Comfort of your choice (or the Pony, which is a Transport).

Through some method unknown to me, I am in possession of 5 Royal-Blue Feathers. I have no clue how I got them, despite that I had them before I ever spent Fate. Does anybody have any inklings as to where they may have come from?

    Are you sure? Which one?

To the best of my knowledge these only have Fate locked sources, like Flint, or by dipping into the sack at Christmas.

They might have come from one of the publicly-available intro storylets to an Exceptional Story. Y'know, the ones that unlock the hub storylet, or the ones that used to point you towards the House of Chimes. I feel like one of those things might have handed out some feathers, but I'm not sure.

The Wiki indicates it might be from backing Sunless Sea on Kickstarter?
