For myself:
I protected the DTC's confession, partly because I could sympathize with her to an extent, partly because I felt that the Detective was overly vindictive given what she would have done with the information.
I protected the Singer's confession mainly because she was my friend. She definitely played dirty, but I can relate.
I did not protect Clathermont's confession. The Great Game spares no one and it's poetic justice that the betrayer gets betrayed in turn.
I did not protect the Colonel's confession simply because it is of no use to the urchins. Hell, even the urchin I gave it to said it didn't matter to them.
Maybe they'll understand their Colonel better as a result.
I gave away the confession for the Filmmaker so that she can make things right for true love.
For the Duchess and the rest of the cats, I want them at each other's throats so that they'll be divided when our fellow snake brethren can...where was I again? Oh yeah, I threw her confession to her exiled cat. I wonder why.
P.S: Clathermont mentioned the Illumination. The other spy I gave it to also mentioned it. Can anyone tell me about what it is?

In a nice bit of symmetry, the Knave and the Optimist betrayed and kept secrets exactly the opposite of one another.
The Optimist wanted badly to remain steadfast, but when faced with direct relations of those her confessees had harmed (in the cases of both the Filmmaker and the Music-Hall Singer), broke her trust twice in the interest of seeing justice done.
Knave, meanwhile, could care less about shielding anyone's secrets, but the Music-Hall Singer is a close acquaintance who's proved useful to her, and she'd be a fool to give away the secrets of a prominent Bohemian such as the Filmmaker with no promise of reward.
The only confession neither could possibly betray was Molly's. I mean, come on. It's adorable.

cathyr19355 protected all except Clathermont's and the Assured Filmmaker's.
Clathermont is playing even dirtier than average in a dirty business. I have no compunction about seeing him removed from his position in the Great Game.
The woman who approached me about the Filmmaker was injured in the way the Filmmaker injured the person her Confession was about. I could not resist the woman's plea to be told, though I doubt she'll get the restitution and assistance she seeks for her loved one.
As for the others....
I would not compromise Molly by letting any of the other Urchins know her secret weakness.
I don't play politics by selling out a rival's secret (the DTC's) given during a sacred time for political gain.
I believe the Duchess is a force for good in FL and don't want to compromise the respect the cats have for her.
And I believe that the Music Hall Singer felt true remorse for what she did, and see no reason to expose her to possible retribution by the sibling of the one she injured.

As a player of the Great Game, I didn't give away Clathermont's confession. He is not a chesspiece, but a part of the board. One can remove pieces, but if you break the board, the game can't continue. I did what I did to the Cheesemonger for the very same reason.
I gave away DTC's secret. I didn't like her during the mayoral campaign, and her pettiness didn't change it.
I decided against giving away the Duchess's confession, mostly because the cats are too d__n smug most of the time, so every occasion to bring them down a peg is good.
I also kept Colonel's secret. She is, after all, just a child, and she can hardly be blamed for wanting to feel like like one.
I can't recall what I did with the other two.

I protected the Dauntless Temperance Campaigner's, the Duchess' and Colonel Molly's confessions while betraying the others. I think for the other four the people in question did wrong and thus people should know of their misdeeds.

Fleshy didn't betray any of them, but I have to admit it was a lot harder this year. The previous 2 years I played, I always got the implication the people who wanted the confessions were jerks who wanted them for selfish reasons, and so it was easy to tell them to get lost. This year, however, they included some people who were legitimately negatively affected by the people who confessed, making it harder to snub them because I felt like they had a right to know. Fleshy still wouldn't betray any of the confessions, but he felt really bad about a couple of them :P

Prof. Kan did not give away any secrets, and I agree that it's fun to watch certain people fume and sputter. It is also, as a side note, fun to quote Lewis Carroll to an urchin. I need to do this more often.

Illumination is the secret language of tattoos, integral to the Game as London currently plays it. The chief center of Illumination (if you can't find a certain irrigo lady) is Clathermont's Tattoo Parlor. If you turned your Working Rat into an Illuminated Rat over the holiday, you may notice he is now sporting the [redacted].

I kept the singer's, the filmmaker's and Molly's, all of whom I admire. I regret sharing Clathermont's, all he really did was get caught up in the game, but still its his own fault for confessing to me rather than the saint, and every secret advances the game. I enjoyed telling the detective, as I have considerable sympathy for her. She is the only candidate out of the 6 who might have actually improved London.
Honoria will keep all, Venshik will betray everyone. Not sure what Maiser will do, but Asmeria will definitely keep Clethermont's.

Lallinka went into this intending to keep the confessions of as many confessants as possible, with some exceptions:
- she betrayed the DTC because she is an avid Detective supporter.
- the Filmmaker, because the lady asking for the confession simply convinced her.
- The singer because boo her, seriously, I would turn her over to the Constables had that been the option (some of real life outrage might have seeped into making this decision)
- The Duchess, because Cats > people and because I was foolishly hoping perhaps she would try to reconcile the two sisters in order to gain favour at the court? This is the one I possibly regret.
She kept:
- Clathermont, because I still pity him for not being able to reunite with his wife.
- Molly, because while I agree that her confession is nothing to be ashamed of, I wouldn't want to betray her trust.
So in the end, Lallinka wasn't as honourable, as she thought.
Ragish will do the exact opposite to see the different results, Pienkava (my newest alt) will betray everyone cause she seriously needs some cash.

Betrayed Clathermont, because he seemed to have it coming.
Betrayed DTC because anyone trying to take my wine or honey is my enemy. I am also a ID supporter, though I would not betray someone solely for that reason. I am not foolish enough to think her my ally.
Betrayed the Filmmaker, because it seemed the right thing to do.
Kept the Dutchess, because I consider her an ally. Not a trusted ally, but an ally.
Kept the SMHS, because we have shared a bed (against all odds going well) and help each other regularly. I consider her a friend, and they I don't betray unless I must.
Kept Molly, because the confession is adorable and she wronged no one. It was none of their business.

I betrayed:
Clathermont- He betrayed someone else, and thus he has no right to trust me in return. Plus I need those moves in the Great Game.
S Music Hall Singer- Her confession appalled me, and thus I felt it was right to tell the truth, despite being her friend.
Filmmaker- I figured her disgrace was already public, and the actors and producers were already known. I was happy that the man could find some sort of justice in the end.
I protected:
The Duchess, as I'm not certain of who her sister is, or the circumstances behind the whole affair.
DTC- I am a loyal supporter of the Implaceable Detective, but I think the Campaigner confessed to me in good faith, and releasing the confession would harm all parties involved.
Molly- I believe I protected her. I do think she would have lost some face with her gang if they learned of it, and it was a small matter regardless.

I protected all of them, mostly because I was not familiar enough with the involved factions to know where my loyalties should lie. In absence of intelligence I erred on the side of honoring trust.
The only one I had a personal interest in protecting was the Sardonic Music Hall Singer's. I have a soft spot for her after the Absconding Devil case. That was actually a more difficult choice to make, because I thought what she did was really reprehensible, and she didn't seem to take it very seriously. But in the end I didn't want anything bad to happen to her.
The Duchess had a confession? I must have skipped a day. Can someone direct me to an echo?

I kept my silence on all of the confessions. I have little compunction about trading in written confessions, as if it's been written down then anyone could happen across it.
But confessions told to me in confidence and in person with the expectation that they remain between us? That's important to me, almost sacred.
I was very tempted to betray Clathermont, given I'm sure he'd sell me out with roles reversed, but I like to think I'm better than that. Still, something to keep in mind if I need to move against him down the road.

Can anyone let me know if there are any rewards (story or material) for keeping confessions if you DO NOT go through "The Errors of London" storylet? I want to keep the confessions but have a hard time telling people no, so I've been avoiding even starting the storylet. Am I missing out on anything?
