the only time TtH changes is for server issues. There is no fixing any changes that happen to the timing of it.

My Time the Healer has alllmooooost been offset by a full week over the course of ~2 years. This week it was ~12 hours late (wednesday afternoon to thursday very early morning). When I first started playing I believe it was on Saturday.

Who is the duchess's sister? What is she doing and where is she? Sorry in advance if this has been asked/answered already.

She has several sisters, but I believe she's referring to the one featured in Exceptional Story "The Attendants".

Sorry in advance, but dear God, will someone explain how the option picked in "Visitors at Hallowmas" will affect my destiny. I am growing more confused each day in the Neath.

There was no new unique confession today. Is this intended, or am I missing an unlock condition?

For I was hungry, and you gave me rats. I was thirsty, and you gave me rats. I was naked, and you gave me rats. The rodents were gathered together, the cats slept in the Sun’s blindness, and the rats rose like the Moon, in the light at the edge of the cheese.

Acquiring a destiny has two steps: selecting a future, and making a choice within that future. Meeting with a visitor at Hallowmas will select a future based on which visitor you receive. You then actually acquire your destiny through a storylet at your lodgings. You can change your possible future by meeting with a different visitor before going to your lodgings, although if you want to save yourself the trouble here's the dream which each visitor gives you.
[spoiler]Thud at the window - the deep ocean
Furtive knock at the back door - the liberation of night
An unmarked black coach - the high wilderness
Metallic rap at the door - mirrors
A sword in the streets - the elder continent

There are no more of those confessions. From A Hallowmas Primer:

"Every day until 29th October you’ll find a new face in London at noon GMT, ready to confess to you. Each will only be available for 48 hours. Be warned: many of the Neath’s great powers will be interested in the secrets you gather. Whether you honour the trust placed in you, or betray it altogether, is your decision."

We're now in the second part: in the next few days people will come asking if we'll divulge these confessions to them.

I have been out of the loop for several months due to hospitalisation. Can someone please enlighten me as to (a) how to obtain more confessions that aren't the free ones, (b) what has notability got to do with obtaining confessions, (c) how to go about using notability to obtain more non-free confessions. Thanks in advance.

On the Hallowmas, 1895: No Secret is Safe storylet there is an option to trade 8 Notability for a confession. If you plan to do that more than once somewhat reliably, you should either have 9 or more Notability, or have the Amanuensis drawn and ready to play after giving the 8 Notability - to get your 1st point again and be able to summon him to raise it further.

Other than that there is also the option to pay 15 Fate for a confession, on the Hallowmas, 1895: No Secret is Safe card again. The confession you get is random.

In my experience so far when I reached nightmare - 8 - I was shoved off to the marches, but I have crossed -9- and still nothing is happening - is this some glitch or am I in for a bad surprise because I am knee deep in the Tomb of the seven and really can not deal with nightmare now. Did that happen to someone else as well?

Probably a glitch, or you have some nightmare reducing equipment.

@Caroline Augusta Baroness Aubrecker (love the name, by the way): You might be equipped with the Bejewelled Cane and Cheerful Goldfish. Also, if you reach menace 8 you can, instead of clicking "onwards", navigate to the "myself" tab and equip menace-reducing gear or drink laudanum/tinctures/etc. It's a handy trick for when you really can't afford to be inconvenienced, although I do recommend stopping by the menace areas now and then for variety's sake. Except prison. Prison is bloody dull.
