It was always a card I think, those options are just more powerful than the rest of the connected/favour cash ins.

Revs wasn't. That was one of the recent ones, but I see your point. The other two were.

Not exactly. Criminals were indeed the first, but Revolutionaries were one of the last (and Urchins converted somewhere in the middle).

Calling in Favours in the Flit has been a card for a long time (since at least mid-2013, while the Favours/Renown announcement was mid-2015). it was probably made a card because it was always superior to the other Call in Favours options (even when is used to trade Connected).

The revolutionary choice in particular is probably responsible for most of my extra spending money. It's very very good (if you don't mind advancing the liberation)

I do it because I want to advance the Liberation. I hadn't even considered the rewards.

I've been using most of the proscribed material as bedding for all those weasels that have moved in, and given the rest to my ever growing army of Urchins. Nothing urchins love more than mucky books, it seems. Well, apart from gin and ciggies, maybe.

I guess it's true what they say, murdering all light and law is its own reward.

But how will you spend all that money once the Liberation destroys us all?

(and I use "destroy" instead of "kill" because it will be so much worse than simply killing us all...)

Many of us are killed a couple of times a week. A particularly bad case of the flu or normally persistent aunt is worse than getting killed!

It had better be, since most other rewards would become pretty useless at that point.

There's talk in the Hallowmas thread that we should let a chance to pick up a confession sit until next week. Do they really pile up? I thought they'd be limited like the ones from the DTC, etc, that only last 48 hours. Can someone just let the "pick up a confession" choice sit there and have 8 of them or whatever at the end of next week?

I answered over in "Hallowmas is Here" as well but since the question is in both places:

Barse wrote:
The quality tracking the number of free confessions you've picked up is "Hallowmas: The Aftermath of an Audacious Theft". Currently the lock is at 4 and picking up a free confession adds 1 to that quality, i.e. once you've picked up 5 the storylet is locked. In a few days (or tomorrow, or whenever) FBG will raise that lock to 5, allowing everyone to pick up another. This does mean that yes, you can leave "Aftermath of an Audacious Theft" at 1, wait until the end of the holiday when the storylet locks at 13 or whatever, and pick them all up at once.

It's only the other kind - Temperance Campaigner, Clathermont, Filmmaker - that time out after a few days.

EDIT: It's been clarified that saving all confessions till week 2 in fact does nothing to improve any odds - seems like confessions 1-whatever will always draw from the week 1 pool no matter when you draw them. So go grab those confessions while you can!

You probably can't do that. Even if it was doable last year, which I don't know about, it doesn't mean it will be this year. Only way to know is to risk your confessions and try it.

EDIT: Nvm, as the answer above shows. I'd still not personally risk it, there's always trading later in the festival to get the confessions desired

Ah--Barse posted that it's a hidden quality that shows up on the make a choice page. Thanks!

Something I have been meaning to ask for a while, but why are there three columns in the icons on the left of the game (IE watchful, shadowy, dangerous, persuasive, notability, etc.)? I vaguely remember there being one other feature that took up some space outside second chances, but I have not seen it or anything like it in ages.

There used to be two different kinds of second chances, I think - at once point it was possible to have, for example, some Hastily Scrawled Warning Notes and a few Anticandles to provide Shadowy second chances.

I see. Was there a particular reason they were removed, and are their any plans to add another feature to the game to replace them (albeit hopefully for something other than second chances)?

No idea if there was an official statement on it. I assume somebody just thought it was silly to have two sets of items with essentially the same function, and the boxes are just vestigial. As for future plans, who knows - those boxes have been there without comment for years now!

Is there any action I can take that would result in the Artist's Model card showing up less frequently (or not at all)? She's driving me slightly mad with her constant requests that I deal with her endless parade of rejected lovers. Am I forever doomed to drawing this card repeatedly as a consequence of our apparently ill-advised fling?
