If you've romanced the Artist's Model, but are not married to her, then an opportunity card will come up with Standard Frequency where she asks you to deal with an unwanted lover. If you beat him up, Forceful will rise to a maximum of 4.

The wiki says "Play chess with the Boatman" is locked with Wounds 15. What happens if you have more than that? Is there an autofire event or do you just have to play opportunity cards or other storylets until you drop below 15?

@Skinnyman: Quite by accident I discovered an uncapped Wounds source and, well, how could I keep my reputation for insanity if I didn't gun for 77? Unfortunately I misunderstood Failbetter's policy on manual Exceptional Story unlocks and I'm having an existential crisis.

Is the Gambling Den worth getting only for the MW option? It does cost about 26 E with a modified watchful of 290 and the nice part is that you can pile Night on the Town and gain an extra Bohemian Favour. 11-70 MW boost looks nice specially when you need it, but is it really worth it?

How many confessions we get for free? 3 initially and one per 48 hours = 10?
Holy cow, that lance requires 60 Favours, which looks like 15 confessions.

Apparently, I have Courting The Artist's Model 1, but I've never seen that card come up. I assume there are no conveniently grindable sources?

Do tell, please! I'm really curious. The best option I know of - other than lowering your watchful to lose at chess, but that's when you're already dead so it's kinda cheating - is SotC, and even if you do everything in one run on average it will cap out around Wounds ~30.
EDIT: And another question: how can I tell my numeric Criminal Record level? Does every title correspond to exactly one level?
Specifically, if I have "A Criminal Record: A Familiar Face", will trading in Feducci's Favour once be enough to clear it?

You could get to Renown: Urchins 40, go into the mind of the dead god, and keep refusing their gift. A good source for Aeolian Screams as well, and I don't believe the wounds quality is capped there as there was some discussion of employing a lot of horse amulets and how they are never enough.
A familiar Face record is for 1 to 3 points, so it would depend on which you have.

The Mind of the Long Dead God one is kinda capped; you lose 1 point of stormy eyed per use. So you could hypothetically grind up a ton of stormy-eyed before to get as many wounds as you want, though you'd have to know beforehand just how many wounds cp you want.
