The Remorseless Villainness is searching, Seeking, to fulfil her hunger for the Name. Unfortunately, it appears the cost will be high: A Classic Short
Story, Overgoat or Daughter (and I don't really use Fate).
My question is; I have potential for my writing project at 236, which is one point below a "safe" margin of 237 which would get me an 80% success rate for Classic.
The only way I can see to improve potential is Case-Notes (of which I have none) or a trade secret. Is there any other way to raise potential a single point and hopefully succeed, or am I stuck at 70% chance until another month rolls by?
And if I am, is it worth waiting, or should I just take a chance now?

You'd either need to acquire Case-Notes or wait for another Trade Secret. (If you've already finished all the story cases, your only source of Case-Notes is the Election.) So really, it depends. Do you think it's worth waiting?
Also one point of potential is, at most, going to give you a 1% higher success chance. Having 237 Potential is only a 71% success rate though.

Indeed. You'll need Potential of 267 to get the 80% chance of success.
Potential 334 will guarantee 100% success.

Not that a failure will cost you 4 months if you don't have any case notes. While, if you wait, 4 more months will get you 100% success.
