McGunn/Bsymstad is on the slow boat, waiting to see if he can find out what death is. (I'm done with London for now. Thanks for everything!)

Not a kid, though you might revise your previous statement anyway if you'd know more about him.

I can't easily think of nastier or less likeable characters in Fallen London.

You mean, the Scarred Naturalist?

Alright, it's official. Never look to Ambitions for your love life. (Except for Mr. Pages. I guess I'm drawn to bookish guys)

Ah. So it's Light Fingers we're talking about. I couldn't figure it out from the first hints this morning.

My alt was playing Light Fingers, but alas! she is gone beyond. Gone NORTH. I will just have to be patient until Nemesis proceeds.

The Captivating Princess.

Not at all. She's creepy but can be very lovely and tender. We have a good understanding and mutual respect. In fact, I like her a lot (always a delight when she visits my Salon).

Edward is creepy in a menacing, vicious, violent manner. He's nastier and more dangerous and harmful than Jack-of-Smiles.

The Princess may be polite, but she's about as atrocious of a person as Edward.

Dangit, why can't we be lusting over the nice people of the Neath? People like... Mr Huffam? Or... the Soft-Hearted Widow, maybe... or... oo, Jenny counts, I'm counting Jenny!

Even if we wanted to, there are like, three nice people in the Neath. They'd have to practice polygamy or maybe just do a lot of speed dating :P

While I appreciate that you and half the others in this thread have their head dunked in the gutter, Edward is a seriously creepy dude, and the Orphanage in question is definitely not like those involved with the more scandalous corners of society.
In case anyone isn't aware, the Orphanage is basically Mr Fire's personal political prison where inmates are tortured and experimented on to serve his gains. Light Fingers has some of the darkest material in Fallen London and a large portion of it is related to this place: diabolical science experiments, being buried alive until you manage to commit suicide and escape via death, constant mind-breaking torture to passify the inmates, the concept of the government in London somehow being more shady than we thought, and the implications of dubious consent in relation to a main character in the questline carrying a hybrid-experiment child. The only place I've seen similar themes to that are with the Mountain of Light's child Mt Nomad, and even that's more vague than this.
Overall, Light Fingers is the best Ambition in my opinion, but it's also by far the most morbid. Can't wait to see how it plays out.
Look, I don't know about you, but my relationship with the Soft-Hearted Widow is sheerly platonic. Hell, the party I want to throw for her is of the HIGHEST class and not just some Bohemian... er... dumps cold water on self

...right. I feel like this has gone off topic a bit, but meh. Here's to the girls of Mr. Veils, some of which are actually quite pretty. (One in a million, though.)

And, uh, right, Light Fingers. I don't do alts, and I'm stuck on Heart's Desire, so fingers crossed that comes soon? Maybe we can do other Ambitions once we finish our first one? Maybe?

I don't think this update is going to finish Light Fingers. If I remember right, this was to be the penultimate update, not the final one; and Light Fingers is I think one update behind the rest of the ambitions currently, so this will catch it up.

Of course, finishing all the ambitions could be next on the docket, but we don't know, it hasn't been announced.

Also happy to help with nightmares, send sips of Cider, and plant battle.

Having your mind in the gutter really is preferable to dealing with that guy on the front page, isn't it?
