Are you full of questions? I'm full of beans, but that's unrelated. Here's the thread for asking quick questions about Fallen London!

I'm curious about the Eater-of-Names (or as I like to call it, the nommer of noms). Does it play a role in any stories other than the creation of Dawn's Law? I'm rather surprised that it's not involved in any of the Your Father's Bones storylines, what with it being a ship made of bones and all. Stealing your father's bones back from the Zee would be pretty cool, but apparently there's no leaving Mr Bones's Wild Ride. Sir Frederick Tanah-Chook wrote:

Or turn me in at the University to be dissected!

Well that's a given, beans or no, right?

What is the best source of "Piece of Rostygold" for late game player? Maybe there is good way to convert other goods into the rostygold? Do you have rats? You can turn in all your rats for Rostygold at the Department of Menace Eradication in Watchmaker's Hill. Emphasis on "all."
There is an Opportunity Card that can only be drawn in Spite, which lets you convert 2,000 foxfire candles into Rostygold, and also gives a Church favor. You won't draw it, because the RNG hates you, but it does exist.
Other than that, Unfinished Business in Watchmaker's Hill.

The Basalt Gymnasium and Gang of Hoodlums card both have options that give 150 Rostygold.

What do you even need rostygold for as a late-game player? I haven't used the stuff in ages. Does one of the ambitions call for it? Docks and Constables favours, expeditions, and the option on the Young Stags card that turns 500 Rostygold into 2 Society and 1 Bohemian favours.

Hi! I just got my soul back. In a foggy Wolfstack night. It had a note with it saying: BE MORE CAREFUL NEXT TIME. Also, on the note, there was a drawing of a shepherd's crook.
Can you please tell me who the note was from? I'm assuming... the Church... because... the Shepherd? I dunno. It just seems too blehh an answer. Please tell me there's something deeper here.
EDIT: Also there was a devilbone die in the package. What's the deal with those? edited by Sallow on 9/22/2017 There is an organization that is part of the Church, which is aligned against Spirifage and attempts to re-unite souls with their owners. They call themselves Shepherds. They are referenced in the Church's mid-tier Favor->Renown conversion. You can have more direct dealings with them in the Soul Trade storyline (FATE).
The dice? Devils. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The implication from that Bundle of Oddities result is that someone found your soul and anonymously returned it to you. It fits nicely when the bundle is a gift via One's Public, but not so much when the bundle is something you stole or discovered yourself.
Church authorities do not openly condone the return of souls to their owners, but they certainly appreciate the efforts of so-called "shepherds of souls". Find out more in the Soul Trade.

Is it possible to grind "Compilation of Case-Notes" without seasonal events? Yes, but it's something you can lock yourself out of. You can abandon the story cases at 15 progress to get one, and then restart it.

Once you get to the Third Coil you can forgo progressing and do Deal with Mirror Smugglers (http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/Deal_with_mirror-smugglers) over and over again to gain The Hunt is On. You then turn in The Hunt is On at level 7 with Kill a White Marsh Wolf (http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/Kill_a_white_marsh_wolf). Repeat forever. Will net a nice ~1.76 EPA using social actions to clear the wounds, and is a few pence better if one has a cider.
And thanks for the congrats
