Not sure if this warrants its own topic, but I recently acquired my first ship and set sail for hunter's keep. I like the story of the three sisters a lot, and would like to discuss/exchange theories about it with people.
I'm on my third carousel now, and my current theory is that the sisters seem to be the split-off personas of the same woman who was conducting a tragic love affair with an unknown (male?) lover who was apparently also interested in another man. The lover's father intervened and the sisters got exiled/are protected by something on the island of hunter's keep. This all seems to have happened during the fall, so it has been a while, which makes this somewhat more interesting- some poweful players have got to be involved, otherwise the scandal would have run it's course by now and they'd be able to return to London, which at least Cynthia and Lucy seem to want. There also were at least two goats involved, a fortune teller, the lover's father may or may not be also a goat as well, and the maidservant of the island is extremely supsicious and very hostile.
That's what I got right now, if anyone wants to discuss, drop me some hints where to look for clues or point me to a place where people dive into the lore, I'd be grateful - I'm sort of new to digging into the deeper recesses of the story on my own, without having any particular storyline to use as a guide.

Hunters keep is a series of overlapping mysteries. But you can find some answers in sunless sea, a spin off game to fallen london. Specifically on some family history/ties and why that particular island is special.

Do we have a list of all the name-brand companies in the Neath?

Otherwise I'll start a thread.

Personally I went all the way to 100% to avoid anything tragic. Achievable through using many trade secrets and case notes.

Speaking of which, case notes can't be grind outside election festival, right? Or did I miss something? I want to exclude my Trade Secrets from any action as it's already hard to gather 77 w/o ever using any; 4 frigging weeks for one!

About ghost messages:
"Hi,
A recent patch caused a temporary issue with social invitations, preventing the invites from clearing even after a response was sent. This issue should now be fixed, so any responses you send should work as normal again.
We're looking into clearing up the ghost invitations left by this bug now, but they may remain in your messages tab for a while longer; sorry for any inconvenience caused in the meantime.

I don't think we do! Feel free to start one, in any case!

Is there a guide somewhere to raising quirks to 15? Especially for opposing quirks - the renown conversions obviously made it much easier to get past 10, but the problem is that they lower the opposite quirk by the exact same amount, so while you can bring everything past 12 after that I'm stumped.

There is some info and discussion.

It's something you can lock yourself out of. If you don't ever finish the cases and always abandon them at 10 progress, you can grind case notes forever.

Is there any way an early/midgame character can easily gain Death By Water/The Fire Sermon/etc.? The Heart's Desire Ambition has an option that needs level five of all four, and I'm too lazy to do the alternative grind to get me to POSI so I can get a ship and travel out to Hunter's Keep.

Main, Phiri Ulfur, the Cunning Shadow. Their heart belongs to a Pirate-Poet across the Zee.
Alt Vermillion Liminate, the Tragic Scholar.
Alt #2,Lady Jacqueline Blackwood, the Savage Beauty.
Alt #3, Veracity Taylor, the Dame of the Docks.
The Dogged Seeker, self explanatory.

I will accept any social actions on Fallen London(unless its a box of live rats. I already got rid of the d---ned things once and am not eager to repeat the endeavor).

I don't think any dreams are grindable without opportunity cards. So all you can do is optimise your deck as usual and flip cards all day.

I need to make a trip to the Tomb Colonies to retrieve a certain frost moth, but my some what cynical soul saving efforts in order to boost Renown: The Church mean I keep clearing my scandle faster than I generate it. In the past I'd use certain actions in court to go straight there but I no longer have access to court, I don't have any Counterfeit Heads of John the Baptist on hand, and I'm not married to a rubbery man. I could swear there was another way to force the issue but I can't find it for the life of me. Am I imagining things? If I am, anyone have any advice on how a high level end game player could quickly scandle themselves out of town?

That's probably the fastest way to accumulate Scandal. You can get there faster by using +Scandal equipment as well. With the Modish Bonnet, Pair of Scarlet Stockings, and now the Barrel with Straps, you only need 5 "real" Scandal to be sent to the Tomb-Colonies, which you can easily get by being duped 3 times.

If you need someone to dupe you, I might know a few individuals who could stand to relieve some Scandal.
