Sunless Skies begins 10 days before Jules Verne's death. Since I assume Failbetter is reading the forums for suggestions and bugs, I suggest that it starts on March 24th, 1905, to pay homage to the genius.

As a ten-day-old? I suppose it's not out of the question, but seems unlikely.
They're saying 10 days before his death, not 10 days after his birth.
