Sunless Skies begins 10 days before Jules Verne's death. Since I assume Failbetter is reading the forums for suggestions and bugs, I suggest that it starts on March 24th, 1905, to pay homage to the genius.

There is an odd mix of authors and characters living side-by-side in Neath (and, presumably, the High Wilderness). It's not inconceivable that Sherlock Holmes might have rubbed shoulders with Oscar Wilde. So, would we be likely to meet Jules Verne, or Phileas Fogg, or both?

They're saying 10 days before his death, not 10 days after his birth. edited by Carns on 9/6/2017
