Hey, who's got a bit of the Upstairs in them? So. Just a few quick questions so I can try to piece together the events of the Moonlit Surface depicted in Cut with Moonlight.

The March Council and Septemberists are definitely 100% March and September of the Calendar Council, yeah? So, do we know who March and September are? And maybe their individual stances on the Liberation? Or even why there's infighting, since they're supposed to be united?

Hey, if I knew the answer to that, I could revive the First International.

March appeared once in an old access code while September's identity remains unknown. As for why there's infighting, who knows? Though the Jovial Contrarian is one popular theory for August (?) so he would of course be contrary.

We know that March's real name was John, and in the current Mysteries tab, it mentioned 'the working mans friend' next to an icon associated with March. A bit of research led me to John Cassell, a temperance campaigner and author of a magazine known as the "Working Man's Friend". This is the only member of the CC that I know is based off a real person.
Everything Vortigaunt said about March fits his description. He was also murdered by the Haunted Doctor on orders from the Calendar Council since his religion got in the way with his work, which caused his friend (the Dauntless Temperance Campaigner) to despise the Revolutionaries for their ruthlessness. As for September, I don't think we have anyone in particular pinned down, but we can guess from the Calendar Code that they're a scholarly sort who's a foil to Mr Pages and hates him for his improper grammar. Make of that what you will.
The Renown 25 text indicates that there is now a new March that has replaced John, and that he is currently struggling with the sabotaged spy network he inherited from Cassell.
