So what's the highest level strange catch, as well as the most useful level to bother with? I've managed to get to 7 quite easily without throwing it back at all. Even with 4 rounds of throwing it back, I only reached 8 (granted I didn't have the best luck with the options given). I'd like to pick up a rector, is 8 good enough? Well I just got the rector, so NVM. It'd still be interesting to know how high people have pushed it though. edited by Pumpkinhead on 8/23/2017

I think I hit 11 last year, but someone may seriously want to check their own notes. I feel that you run out of unique titles after awhile though and there aren't any higher level rewards.

12 is the highest I've seen, and it had the same title/reward as 11.

I wonder what happens if your Sulky Bat encounters a Master.
Does it care? Does it not care? Is it too busy sulking, or does it recocgnise a being faintly similar to itself?

I forget (or rather did not really know): In spoiler tags, please, what ARE genuine Rubbery Lumps made of?

I gazed into the Mirrors at Mrs Plenty's Carnival in order to get to Parabola, and get the 40 Renown Great Game item. I have Memories of light aplenty on me. Why was I sent into a place of some confusion instead? I did go there last time, through Parabola, for the Bohemian item, but is there a reason I was automatically sent there now?

There are two different mirrors; Dream's Mirror sends you to A State of Some Confusion, and the Mahogany-Framed Mirror sends you to the Mirror-Marches.
I always end up forgetting and sending myself to the wrong place too!

Maybe you looked through the wrong mirror. There is one that sends you to Parabola and another that sends you to a place of some confusion.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.
No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

Mm... Can't remember where you got that first guess, but... makes sense! At least for a folk legend. Though I hardly think there are enough ingredients in Mutton Island for that.
There's no well afaik in the Carnival, so the key ingredient isn't that, I don't think.
My guess is that they're Lorn Flukes on Mutton Island and Rubbery Men at the carnival.
Side note: Wells don't work on islands. The water you draw will be saline due to the close proximity to the salt water that surrounds it. It can be a problem near shorelines too. So I dunno how Mutton Island's well would be remotely palatable, unless all those weird rituals actually do something to the water.

Ask yourself, why the rituals? Or, more accurately... for whose benefit or appeasement are the rituals?

Maybe Mr Eaten ate all the salt and left the water.

If I to remember correctly, the lumps at the carnival aren't as good as the "original". As in, it is only an imitation of the fine, true Rubbery Lumps found on Mutton Island. Thanks for the side note! edited by Gonen on 8/25/2017

What's going on that the Neath doesn't have tides? If it's only a mile underground, the moon should still have its effect.
Or is gravity a Law...I suppose it's probably a law.
(But no one ever has trouble with their gravity in the Neath.)

What is the best source of Sudden Insights (for goat card)? And what to do with ever growing stockpiles of Storm-Threnodys and Bazaar Permits?

The Urchins card has suddenly started providing Insights for silk.
I'd save Storm-Threnodys, because when you need them you really need them. Permits you can probably sell.

One Sudden Insight per action. With negative EpA. Its worse than chess playing.

For what exactly? Got 66 for now. edited by Waterpls on 8/26/2017

I get all my sudden insights from a combination of chess with alts, the Great Game/Church conflict card, and The Web card from the Nadir.
Once Christmas rolls around you can get a mountain of them from christmas cards. Just request the Tentacles card from other people. edited by Kaijyuu on 8/26/2017
