We hope you know where your fishing supplies are, as the Fruits of the Zee Festival is upon us! The festival begins today, 21st August, and will end 4th September. As summer winds down, enjoy calming fishing trips and indulge in a cornucopian repast of delights plucked fresh from the bounteous Zee.
Hire a fishing boat, land a Strange Catch and trade it at the festival for special rewards! Things you may also experience include: the famous wishing well, maypole dancing, Drownie serenades, and beer.
Secure an invitation to a secret feast and catch a glimpse of your Destiny. Will it be a vision of victory or a dream of darkness?
You may even see a few familiar faces from the recent election...
Catch a ferry from Wolfstack Docks to Mutton Island to join the festivities!
The Fruits of the Zee Festival is open to all players, no matter your level. You don’t need a boat, and if you don't know the way to Wolfstack Docks, there's a helpful urchin at your lodgings who will be happy to ferry you for a reasonable price.

Well, it seems there are no new items. You can, however, talk with the implacable detective and the campaigner. But fedduci has skipped.

Why is the Jenny's Lighthouse option still there from last year?

Huh, I wondered why I got nothing when trading in my catches . . .
Is there really no new items at all, or is that just a glitch/bug? If there's nothing new to get, my main might as well go back to London :-S

We should probably wait a while before exchanging any strange catches, in case there's a bug or something.

Oh boy, I've been building up my cache of zee stories, partial maps, etc. for a week on my main and 3 alts...if there are no new items, that was a pretty massive waste of my time. Here's hoping whatever still has the Jenny option there is holding back some stuff...

Found it! (We hope. ) Fixed! It wasn't too bad, actually. It referenced Jenny, but not her being Mayor, so it didn't cause a contradiction.

I'm not getting the Hooded Lady option to trade in my Strange Catch - am I just having terrible luck with the randomizer?

So what's new, then? Is there at least new text for the Campaigner and Detective?

That's it.

Well, at least I get a chance to grab items that I missed last year! And who knows, maybe there will be something new later.

This is what we get for voting a lying, cheating, hell-loving, scruffy looking, no-good swindler for a Mayor
All jokes aside, I am getting more and more concerned for what he's got in store for us. In the light of the ominous remarks he made following his victory, the following relative lack of any overt and purposeful course of action seems like a calm before the proverbial storm. And I am definitely looking forward to the moment he decides to unleash his grand play. The longer we hold breath, the greater the bang might be.
Also, it serves to show how spoiled I've become over the past two years that I'm sort of sad there isn't even a single Feducci-themed item this year. But if the last year's items are still available, at least that gives newer players a chance to get them

What if he has nothing planned, and he is simply dissolving under the stress of the mayoral position?
Being a swindler might be a tough job, but if you run for Mayor and do get elected after all, the change in lifestyle might do to you what law and order failed to do in the previous year. I imagine we will see more of that in the Cristmas story.

Are the rewards airs-dependent?
I'm still getting nothing for my main, which is fine, but my alt really needs to change his destiny . . . I came across it once, but had the wrong catch, and since then I never seem to come across it. I sometime go "back" to find a different selection of options, but never the one for the destiny. Do I just have to keep cycling until the airs are right?
