Is there a way to get rid of Intimate of Devils other than selling and recovering my soul? (And to think I paid Fate for it as a newb...)

Not entirely, no. You can get rid of the quality to minimize the number of cards, but then you'll still get the introduction card over and over again.

You can always stain your soul. But I wouldn't do that.

I had this rather epic dream in which I was playing a game of Civilisation custom-tailored for Fallen London, in which you play the Bazaar over thousands of years, trying to develop cities towards the perfect love story, protecting your city from attacks by the previous cities you've so carefully built up and discarded, there's a secret losing condition in which Mr Eaten consumes everything in the Neath, etc.
The peculiar thing about this is, I've never actually played Civilisation. Does anyone know how daft this would be as a mod?

I've searched for and looked through all the Making Waves threads, and though folks talk about the 13 round carousel, I haven't seen a clear list of exactly what it entails in order. I think I'm doing it right--only 4 actions give me MW--but I'm not sure. I've been starting with honey and romantic notions--is there a simpler way to start? I sell the Strangling Absinthe in the end and buy honey, but I get the feeling I'm missing something because I'm not truly making a loop.

A quick question raised by a discussion on a different page, is Mr Eaten's existence unique?
The whole line definetly started out with him being a one-ness, but now that the Fallen London universe has been put into context with the Judgments and the High Wilderness being full of things apparently, it seems hardly unlikely that other beings could have been unmade in a similar way.
Is the Neath particularly unique in that it allowed for the rending and the lacre-drowning and the god-eating, or are there several, ehr, Misters Eaten out there?
While I am sure that there are some very nasty "things" out there in Sunless Skies that won't die and have to be trapped in Wells, I do still feel that Mr. Eaten is a very unique situation. I don't think that any being on the same level of the Chain as the Masters will become something like Mr. Eaten when they are finally bumped off. After all, it would take a very foolish lawmaker to have being that working for it that it cannot eliminate.
A few key things that make this a special case:
A. We are in the Neath, remember? Things don't stay dead down here. The Laws don't always hold as firm here as they do in other places. B. We are sharing a hedge with our lovely neighbor Parabola. On top of never returning our lawn mower, they also currently hold all things that "are not" and Mr. Eaten certainly is no more. C. He was eaten.

While I try to wrap my head around the idea of never playing Civ, I can still muster the reserves to answer your question. That could be awesome. I don't think it could work the way you envision it (though it might), something could be worked out. It'd be a lot of work, and I don't know how to do it, but so cool.

I need a point of connected:masters for a Salon. Anyone knows where can I get that? I used to have some but Seeking ended that luxury for me...

Well, providing for Mr. Wines' revels gives you one, but it takes a lot of cards and only gives any if you have none. Perhaps the proscribed materials card? Build up a bunch of them and turn them in once you draw the card, I think it's pretty frequent.

If you have a bit of FATE, there's a repeatable branch of the Mr. Wines revels story that costs 2 fate and grants a smidgen of masters connection (past 1) at the end if you treat Wines to his favourite thing (outside of questionable booze and dream scuffles and skimping on the bill).
You can also get a handful from Mr Sacks at Christmas but that's not very helpful to you at the moment, obviously!

You can get it from a relatively common rare success from the unusual opportunity card "The Interpreter of Dreams" (allow Dr Schlomo to publish your dreams of fire and ice).
You can also get up to Connected: The Masters 11 from the very expensive "A libraryette for Mr Pages" card. Either 1 CP for 10,000 Proscribed Materials or 3 CP for an assortment of rarer (but technically less valuable) goods.

The Very Bad Time only happens if you've sold your stained soul, and only at Hallowmas.

Does anyone know for sure if the final option in the Shepard of Souls card will be changed in the upcoming Renown changes? The final option for 1000 souls and 100 contracts would give 15 favors after the final conversion, and it seems to me like Failbetter is going to lay the smack down on that with the nerf bat.
